Moist factor: Malaika Arora Khan
Malaika Arora Khan is having the time of her life on the second season of Nach Baliye. She admits that the fun and drama has doubled this time. But she also recently broke down after watching Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar perform.

Asli naqli
Talking about it, Malaika says, "Some people think we fake emotions on the show to raise the drama, but that is completely false. In fact, whatever the judges say or the way we react is a direct result of the performance of the contestants."

As for her emotional outburst, she says, "There was something in that performance that touched me like nothing ever had. I didn't even realise that I had tears in my eyes."

The buzz is that after the episode aired, Malaika was asked why she cried, by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. "Every one was a bit taken watching me cry. I think it was also out of concern that industry people came up to me and asked me if I was okay."

Apart from the Big B, Saif and Rosa too reacted to Malaika's tears and checked up on her. "I think it was damn sweet of every one to come up and ask me what made me cry on the sets. Nach Baliye is a real show. The tears, smiles and frowns are unedited."

Momma's fan
Malaika walked the ramp for sister-in-law Seema Khan at the recently concluded Lakm Fashion Week. Her biggest cheerleader that evening was son Arhaan. "I could hear him and Nirvaan (Sohail's son) cheering me from the audience. Arhaan has seen me walk the ramp before, but he was very small then. This time he had a blast," she says.

In the first few weeks of Nach Baliye, some of Malaika's outfits raised quite a few eyebrows. She says, "I don't know why people were making such a big hue and cry about them. Most of the ensembles I wear get an amazing reaction from the audience. I get personal mails from people who say how much they loved the clothes. You can't please everyone. So I take the all the comments in my stride."

Does she see predictability sinking into the show, with Tanaaz and Bakthyaar getting consistent scores of 30? Malaika says, "I don't think they have any reason to be complacent as there are others who are performing better each week. We should expect some drama in the coming weeks. There may be some couples getting upset, while others being surprised."

From my album

Manasi Verma: This is one of my all-time favourite pictures. It was taken this year when I toured America along with Sonu Niigaam for his concert. This photo was taken at Universal Studios.

The reason it's my favourite is because I loved the place and the bike that I was riding. I have made many trips, but this will go down in memory as one of the most fun-filled ones yet.
