Whatever Neil's reaction to this whole revelation be but the fact is, it is Neil who has to make an effort to bring Avni back from meek Neilanjana.
If Neil says he don't want to see her face ever again, she will happily accept. If Neil says he will move on and get married, she will happily accept. Avni will accept anything which she thinks will make Neil happy and safe. She, in her delusional mind still think what she has done is right for Neil's happiness & safety. What she has failed to recognize is living does not only constitute breathing, eating & sleeping. Neil is still stuck in the moment where Avni left him 10 years back. He is still finding solace in her memories.
Like fellow members here, I also gave benefit of doubt to Avni with respect to her decision till the time Avni has not seen Neil and his condition. But now I just can't empathize & sympathize with her. He is suicidal & still she is in her la la land about Neil's safety & happiness. His happiness lies in her & if she can't see that or wants to ignore that for greater cause (God knows, what that is) then I can't connect with her.
But sadly in Naamkarann, mistakes are not acknowledged. Infact they are justified, same happened with Neil's decisions (jail track, Juhi track, baby daddy track) & now it's happening with Avni's call of separation.
@Bold: THIS has always been my point and my gripe with Avni's decision! Just keeping someone "Alive" as in keeping them breathing and functioning does not constitute "Living!". Neil is merely existing. Kept him alive and took his reason for living. WHAT sort of life is that? What sort of life did she condemn him to?
Didn't she understand what she meant to him? What their connection meant? That soul connection they had? That pure love they shared, that sizzling chemistry that hot passion. It was ALL there. If SHE was never going to get over him, then HE was never going to get over her either. By so-called "saving his life" she has condemned him to a life where he is alive but not Living!
I saw this quote somewhere on Twitter and I think it's from Ram Leela?
"Jaan Bhi Nikal Dhi Aur Zinda Bhi Chor Diya!"
Well, THAT is what Avni's disappearing act did to Neil. He told her in so many words when they met again..."Tumhare Bina mera koi wajood nahi hai...Avni hai toh Neil hai, warna kuch bhi nahi hai!" The same words he told her 10 years ago.10 years later they still stand true. Only this time even more profoundly true. I believe that Neil's love has only grown, only strengthened with passing time, not diminished. This is true love.
It's different if some external source separated them. Or more accurately they got separated due to circumstances that neither of them chose! But HERE the difference is that one of them did choose this. They did it for what they thought as the other's good. But they still made that decision alone. Just like Neil made the decision to arrest Avni to save her from Vidyut and not tell her why. This time Avni decided to pretend she was dead to save Neil from Vidyut and didnt tell him why or what she was doing. They each made a decision out of love for the other which was misguided and incorrect.
Even if the decision was right, the "method" was wrong. Neither told the truth to the other. That is why the other person ended up shattered. Avni was shattered then, Neil is shattered now. The difference is the "duration" of time they each had to spend in this shattered state. Seeing Neil's pain we can barely handle it. So how can Avni even continue to pretend this is the "right" way to do things? Staying away from a man who's willing to die to be alive with her? No this is the Wrong decision! I hope she sees that soon!
