Sayantani can still win at SPA if we are so lucky but I think the biggest reward to her is the outpouring of love she has received from fans. I have seen all the RTs she did from fans, it really means a lot to her seeing how much her character is loved.

@ Mandy: hw r u still so positive?? Whn d cvs hv messed up a lot of potentially gud tracks?

You will see why I am so positive about this upcoming track, the CVs have yet to let me down as a viewer and this track has a lot of potential. Neela is going to be sorely missed but like I said before I believe she will live on in Avni. Avni is not going to make everything Neela has done for her go in vein, before we used to see Avni's fight for Ayesha but now we are going to see her fight for Neela. You are going to see the woman Neela raised and shaped into who she is today.

For me it is the second time, the same happened in Beintehaa Usman was a beloved character who brought the two leads together he was their pillar and seeing him die was a huge blow. It took time for fans to understand that twist was needed but as the episodes went on fans started seeing the CVs vision. I am hoping the same happens here. I agree with you Neela will forever be cherished, Sayantani did full justice to her role and we will miss her!

Now keeping my aching heart and tears away..yea cvs would never have come to this decision overnight..knowing how important neelama is to the audience of nk they definitely knew the huge risk they wer gonna take..so they might have thought something that would definitely keep the viewers still hooked to show despite her absence..

And major twist coming..nothing more than neelama going away can cause the twist/impact on us..maybe that is a reason they chose her too..

I wish the show gains trps after this..as that is the reason cvs are doing this evil stuff..hmm i wish she wasnt killed

All i can say with a very heavy aching heart is i will miss neelama terribly deeply sadly forever :(

Yes, this was something that was well thought out. The channel and CVs both know how much we adore Sayantani as Neela which is why I believe they chose her among everyone they could have killed off. Its going to be heartbreaking to watch her final scenes but it is needed.

Yes it is AvNeil's story and this is going to be a new start for them, you will see a new Avni emerge in this coming track one that is much needed for her character growth.

I remember saying one that sometimes I ended up loving Neela ma's character more than AvNeil. They would be same for me as AvNeil are. Seeing her go away is going to be heart breaking. Trust me, trying to control tears now as those last episodes of her are just going to emotional roller coaster for us. But whatever it is, we have to accept it and move!

Neela is an exceptional mom and a strong individual. Her and her ideals will leave through me even after her exit! She has been one of the best creations of NK so far!

Having said that, such decisions are sometimes needed. We don't know the process. The team does. And I am sure they would have thought million times before taking this decision. I would say, first see it and then have a judgement.

Yes! We have talked about this a lot and then we came to the same conclusion of why this was needed. It is easy to jump to the wrong conclusions given our love for the character but this was a decision made with a heavy heart, CVs know best for their show and they want to stay on air. This show can only survive if there are twists and a story to carry it forward.

One of the biggest injustice writers have done was to exclude a strong character like Neelama from the show. So much could have been done with her character ...honestly dont know what the writers were thinking.
Seeing Neelama was always soothing for the soul. With Neil she had raw emotion and with Avni her little bacchi was her life. There can be no one like Neelama who can fill up the empty space for Neil and Avni.

Ending her story at this time doesn't seem perfect.

You are right there can be no one who can take the place of Neela in the lives of Avni and Neil nor do I believe that is the CVs goal here. Neela is irreplaceable and her memory will live on in this show. I feel the timing is right for her character to exit, to leave her mark. The way I see it the writers chose Neela because they knew her demise would have the most impact on these fans, had it been anyone else do you think we would have felt the same?

I know what you mean, Usman's death in BI was heartbreaking and its a deja vu feeling watching the same happen to Neela. I hate that Avni is losing another person she loves so much, who held that importance in her life but it was a twist that was needed.

I don't think anyone would have cared if it were Naano especially since she has interacted very little with her grandchildren. It wouldn't have had that impact this has on viewers, it would not have worked for the twist.

I'm with you about one of the reasons I started to watch, I was taken back by Neela and Avni's bond and it is one of the things that stood out about this show.

It used be my favorite serial at that time . I literally cried my heart out when that show went off air.

For me there are only two couples on indian television whom I loved DIL SE

I'm gonna miss NeNe scenes now. Such a unique saas - daamad jodi theirs was.Will miss that bonding.

Meri zindagi mein mujhe sabse jyaada Dard tab hua jab meri aashiqui tumse hi khatam ho gayi hain.

I'm going to miss Neela's interaction with the entire cast, I especially wanted to see more of her bonding with Shweta but sadly it was not meant to be. Thankfully in real life the two are like BFFs so I am sure this cast will stay in touch despite Sayantani no longer being a part of the show.

I also want to add for the rest of the audience who are thinking of quitting the show- you guys need to understand that the CVs are taking a huge risk by making such a bold move, especially now that there's talks of NK being under the scanner!! That in itself should be a strong indicator that they've got a plan in mind. Let's trust them.

Also, people die all the time. It's a normal process of life- we can't expect rainbows and unicorns all the time. I've seen shows on Starplus where the female lead just wouldn't die or wouldn't age at all- that's very unrealistic and it ended up just frustrating me to no end! As much as I hate to see a character that is the epitome of Nayi Soch leave NK, it's the harsh truth of life. And we need to be accepting of this fact.

Yes according to OLVs it is a bullet Neil fired that hits Neela but Avni is not going to hold this against Neil. Neil and Avni are not going to be distant from each other instead this is going to bring them closer together. I think the handling of Avni's character is going to take many by surprise and that could be a twist in itself.

You nailed it! To take a bold risk like this at a time where they know their show is at risk of going under the scanner is huge and trust me they know what they are doing. These are no amateurs, they've been in the business and know how things work. The NK team wants this show to continue more than fans do so just keep an open mind!

I also agree with you that sadly in life this happens, no one can see the future and what it holds. Life is short which is why one should live it to the fullest and not take things for granted. I would rather see Sayantani's character exit leaving her mark on a show that gave her so much rather than be wasted in NK. CVs know what they are doing

Thanks Mandy for the post.. was much needed..i have full faith in the cvs..I have never been disappointed wit any track til now including Juhis n the jail track..But Neela dieing is givin me so many mixed feeling..Neela is one of the best onscreen moms n Sayantani has enacted Neela perfectly,Tats the reason most of us r not ready for this twist..but like u mentioned im sure the cvs have taken this decision aft a lot of thought coz they knw how much the viewers love Neela..Even they r doin their best to see tat show gets its due thru trps,so as viewers its best tat we support the cast n cvs.. Hopin we acheive the trps the team is aimin ..

Neela's death has hit the fandom hard, no one wanted this to happen but from a story POV we get it. I just hope their vision pays off!

Thanks for this post Mandy . I wonder why many feel NK will end . Yes Neela is an essential character in NK but it doesn't mean the show will end if she dies . This is Avni's story and AvNeil's story . Creative team would have definitely taken this decision only after a deep analysis . There must be some strong story after Neela dies which have made them to end her character . This phase in AvNeil life will definitely be the best besides the pain and grief of Neela's loss . We will have how Avni stands on her own without her biggest rock solid support and how Neil slowly becomes her support system . We can also have how Khanna's help her to get through and how Swetha becomes her pillar . No one can fill Neela's place but as Neela says they can make their own place . This is a stage where we can see how Swetha and Avni's relationship evolves and how she becomes a mother to Avni . So the bottom line is at the end of the day it's the story of Avni and Neil n how their relationship evolves . Even Neil can't forgive himself if he holds himself responsible for Neela's death . So , we can get how he becomes Avni's rock and her only support

I was really depressed on hearing this news but it's the demand of the story. We can do nothing but accept it with a heavy heart . Shayantini as Neela will forever be remembered for the way she carried Neela . I wish she grabs best mother award in SPA .

trust me I'm scared when for the sake of TRP they can go to this extreme I wouldn't be surprised if CVS take this route and bring NK season 2 with mishti by Avni as neelama🥱whatever reason and justification the CVS may give for killing neelama but it's just not needed at all I honestly don't understand how could be the death of neelama could ever bring increase in TRP is out of my understanding it's not just about satyantani mam leaving or neelama character ending in the show but now I'm more worried for avni CVS can neither make her react thanda nor make her impulsive again and end up killing up Vidyut and how will her equation be with Neil be are CVS hanikarak mind planning for one more seperation ?neelama has been pillar to Avni in every sense she will be shattered enough that I won't be surprised if she is shown in mental trauma when she was shook for mishti I can't imagine after neelama's death what will be avni's state of mind and most importantly I can't help it makes me more emotional to realise that avni will become orphan again

I feel Neela's character had a lot of scope. They could have shown so many possible tracks involving her with avneil. I personally feel her death was not required at this time in the story. And yes Naamkarann has lost its essence.
