Okay guys I watched the episode now and I don't think anything happened in the episode that is pointing towards Mishti's adoption.
Neela was ready to give Mishti to Vidyut to save Neil's life and that is why she was feeling guilty later. Khannas were showing only that much compassion for Mishti as they will show for any other kid, nothing OTT.

Ok I'm not saying that adoption will be shown but I don't want any romance, marriage, celebration with mishti
I watch NK for entertainment not for learning to be "mahan", "positive"
The way vr and rp could be made against each other without this leap, avni could learn not being impulsive all the time only by some Avneil fights with them yearning for each other, Amol, etc. were forgotten, etc.
Y can't mishti be forgotten too
Y can't vr's diabetes thing be used later on, after framing rp let him be free, bring him back after some Avneil centered track, bring up the illegal kidney transplant thing n then end his track with either his death or sudden discovery of mishti n end their roles

September to Jan isn't enough for these ppl ? Are they so important? If Neil's past is so important than y is avni's brother long forgotten? Y not bring him back too? Avni's return was for her brother, her motive was not only to take revenge from dayawanti but also to have her brother back.
They might bring Amol back as he's still a part of NK and we need more tracks for the show to go on but for the show to be on air we need to get rid of scanner, trp fiasco which cannot be done with mishti n vr around Avneil.
