So, I came across a lot of posts on the forum saying how things are getting demarcated into Team Avni or Team Neil on the forum.
All I want to say is, it is okay for one to empathize with one character more than the other, but in that spree, we mustn't forget who these characters are, what this story is, and why we fell in love with it in the first place, which actually brings us to this forum too!
So, instead of the whole debate b/w Team Neil and Team Avni, can we take a pause and concentrate/appreciate these proven facts at least?
1. For the first time ever, we are seeing a FL, who is not sulking and becoming an ocean gate of tears after being framed for a crime she didn't commit and thinking the love of her life betrayed her?
2. For the first time ever, a ML wasn't shown harboring doubts on his wife, when she said his ex-gf is a perpetrator and also believed from the bottom of his heart at face value that Avni could never kill Juhi, even before Vidyut proposed his deal, even though at crime scene, he only saw Avni present with a gun in her hands.
3. A FL who is an equal to men, as she masters her martial arts skills, when all she could have done was cry and cry, lamenting over how she was wronged.
4. A male lead, who actually WORKS, and despite the wrongs that happened in his personal life, which has truly devastated him, he wakes up every morning to face the world, keeping his mission of ruining Vidyut in tact!
5. A step-mother Neela Maa, who in other shows wouldn't have given two hoots about what happened to her dead ex-husband's love child, but she is STILL ready to risk her life for her little girl!
6. A story where the resurfacing of his past love, who he once considered to be his ''life'' and his alleged daughter, couldn't shake Neil's feelings for Avni, and he was more sure than ever, that despite all odds, it is ONLY Avni who he belongs to!
7. In-laws-- If this was some other show, Shweta, Prakash, and Bebe would have asked Avni to leave Neil, since there was ''Neil's child'' in the picture and Mishti deserved a happy family! But no! Here we got a forever-supporting set of in-laws, who have grown to love their DIL more than their own son! Isn't it amazing?
8. Shweta who was always and forever Team Tillu, actually gave him a cold shoulder when he arrested Avni. She believes her DIL, just the way her DIL believed her when nobody else did, when she was trying to tell them she didn't call the media during Diwali party!
9. A ML who would go to any lengths, to save the love of his life. Wherein, despite being a stringent believer of the law, he now moonlights as a law-breaker, risking his life, so that his wife can get justice!
10. The bestfriend goals: Can we just take a moment to appreciate the impeccable friendship of Ali and Avni? These days in real life too, your best friend may not stick with you when such havoc-like situations arise in your life, and here we are getting the best bestfriend goals, where Ali has always got Avni's back, despite being heartbroken that she loves Neil and not him!
11. Talking about friendship, let's not forget about DD- the forever AvNeil shipper. Take this from a working individual , in the real world, most of your work-mates are always about back-bitching, being non-supportive, but here we have DD, who is not only a loyal, loyal subordinate cum friend of Neil but is also a forever-devotee of his dearest bhabhi! Isn't it super cool?
12. Do I even need to mention this? AvNeil are people, who at least COMMUNICATE with each other! Even during Juhi track, Neil knew exactly what Avni was going through and Avni knew Neil's predicament. They were never oblivious to the feelings of the other, and that's the best thing ever!
I just want to say that criticizing is very easy, and even I do that a lot. It is human nature, it is tax free, and especially it is a show, so we have all the rights to say what we like and don't like!
But what I want to highlight is: Be #TeamAvNeil ..
Those two love each other a lot, and their pain, their trust, their suffering: is all at a unanimous level, even though for onlookers, it may seem different.
We must appreciate some of the most beautiful points (some of which I have highlighted above) that their love story has given us.
You know, I am a big time fan of Marvel Movies and even DC for that matter, and it is in this decade that we are getting such kickass movies that were once just limited to dull-colored comic books back in the era of World War I, etc.
I consider myself SO LUCKY that I live in a generation, era of viewers, where I am getting to see imaginations turn into living reality, and enjoying those movies in 3D, while a huge chunk of people from that era haven't even lived to see how amazing this whole experience is!
Similarly, far, far away from the league of those typical saas-bahu sagas, we have a story, a show, where Avni and Neil are equals, as is their love, their trust, their mistakes too.. So, let's just appreciate that and instead of demarcating ourselves into Team Neil or Team Avni, be Team AvNeil.
