Naamkarann has seen many villains in its time, and two recent additions, Manini and karam have received a lot of love and appreciation for their performance. Then comes along juhi. A character who is meant to have been positive, received hate and negative response from fans even when she was supposedly positive. I've been thinking long and hard for the reasons why even positive juhi including the now negative juhi, or should I say why juhi as a whole is receiving hate that even previous characters have never received, and some of the concluding reasons for why she is hated are:
1) Poor and unconvincing performance from the actress poonam. Unfortunately the expressions she makes when playing the traumatised, quiet and poor juhi look like she has ate sour grapes. Her expressions as the now negative juhi are more convincing for a negative role, but her dialogue delivery continues to let her down.
2) Her character's story post her rescue has been poorly written. All she does is stay in the house of her ex boyfriend who is now married and she roams around his wife and family crying and trying to gain sympathy. She also was shown telling her married ex that she has a child from him despite knowing this could have caused his wife to leave him, then is shown begging her ex and his wife to get her daughter back, yet despite being a mother she showed too much cowardice in wanting to do anything herself to get her daughter back knowing her daughter is living in hell.To top it off her character is still shown in her married ex boyfriend's house as if she is in a polygamous relationship with him and his wife. Despite everything avni did for her, she never once thanked her due to jealousy and only thanked Neil.
3) Every character being dumbed down or made to act out of character just to justify and extend her screen space/ presence in the show. The other villains have made our leads seem stronger and quick-thinking, but just to elongate Juhi's track, the writers made the characters naive, ignore logic and blind to Juhi's suspicious actions. For this reason, the show has become boring just because the characters are not using their usual intelligence like they do with villains, just out of blind sympathy for juhi.
