Prologue:
As the darkness increased and the world fell asleep in the arm of night Avni got up and picked up her bag. She waited patiently. After few minutes a faint footstep came to the door and opened it. She came out silently. A man in late twenties was waiting for her. He had sleeping Aman in his hands. Without wasting any word he handed Aman to Avni's hand and took them out of the house using the back door. Before leaving Avni turned.
Man: I did my job.
Avni nodded. Those past few days changed her completely. She was not sure what the last strike was. May be Ayesha's sudden death or the revelation that no one else but her own grandmother killed her mother. But whatever it was, it helped Avni to finalize her destination. She looked at his eyes directly and spoke up in a cold voice.
Avni: The money had been already delivered to your family. Now go before she finds out anything.
The man nodded and went inside. Really! How easy it is to buy anything. Money can even buy loyalty. She checked her bag. She still has enough money to peruse her journey for now. She closed her eyes. The image of the fire catching the house and burning her Fatima and Tikku alive again came alive in her mind. She opened her eyes. She didn't let the tears came in her eyes. She will not cry anymore. Fire is the only thing that she needs in her. She checked her bag pack once again. She placed Aman in the baby holder she was wearing. She needs to keep her hand free. Hiring a taxi she went straight to station. While sitting in the train she closed her eyes once again.
Avni: Mama, Fatima, Tikku. Don't you worry. I will come back again. I am sorry Fatima and Tikku. I couldn't stay back for your funeral ceremony. But I promise. I will come back. I have lot of unfinished work to finish.
As the train started towards its destination, Avni quenched the last amount of emotions from her heart and made a vow. A vow to rise from the ashes and burn every single thing.
