Main apne previous comment mein ye add karna bhul gayi thi ki Balwant tab bohot gusse mein tha jab questions kar raha tha wo dono ko (5th episode). So, Ponky and Monil felt afraid of him and they didn't tell the truth. They didn't understand how Balwant would react. It can be another reason.
