I think today's scenes have highlighted what their relationship had evolved to very beautifully. They had a very poignant conversation...
Bela cried that whatever she does only harms Mahir - mentally, emotionally, physically. So why doesn't he just ask her to get out of his life, instead of suffering so much because of her / for her?
Mahir had only one thing to say - If she wants to do good for him, she should just hold him and stay with him.
That is all he wants. That is what makes him happy.
Bela's," I'm Sorry" to him was painfully sad. Her helplessness and guilt were evident.
I just loved how he asked - " Do you like it here?" after hugging her. And when she nods yes. That's it for him. (Major flying kisses for Mahirji for asking her consent even there! What IS this guy made of?)
As he simply put it - Do what your heart feels right.
And then when she does that and laughs at him putting him under the shower... He again puts it simply - " If this makes you happy, I'll do it".
His awesomeness comes through this scene like anything! If he had to go through trouble to make her happy, he will gladly do it. It doesn't even feel trouble to him because his heart chose his happiness in her happiness and her being with him. And like what he advised her, he followed that advice to T - Doing what his hearts says to him and for him that is being with Bela in what makes her happy.
And how lovely to see Bela laughing whole-heartedly after so long?
Most of these lines would've come off cheesy, if not coming from Mahir. There is Earnestness and sincerity when he says them because he means them and follows them. I Just love it that nothing this guy ever utters is Hollow or empty. š³
We have seen Bela's whole journey of falling in love with Mahir. But we are never really told what made Mahir fall for her so hard? This is not just about Mahir, there is something in Bela that has opened this side of Mahir... She brought out this side of him which no one else would've done.
He simply wanted to make the marriage work... and maybe to love her as it's his duty and responsibility... Even he himself did not know he was falling so hard... I just wish we hear from Mahir what made him fall for her... Both have certain innocence, both equally good at heart, both don't like harming people and have almost same moral compass. They are very similar in many ways... We can see that, but I want to hear Mahir ji's version! I am more curious coz he used the duty, responsibility thing in precap again along with love... There is a lot more to his emotions towards Bela which we weren't completely exposed to.
Btw, his " Oyeee" when Bela started crying was hilarious š¤£ š¤£ š¤£
And the way he held his head after both of them said " Main!" š I loved Bela's taunts... He so deserved it... Both looked like kids.
