Dev's transition

So todays episode was mostly about dev and amba and their relationship dynamics. Dev today was shown as someone who cares a lot about what people think of him ; he has never shut the door to his office! He seemed really scared about people finding out his past relationship with amba . Initially I thought he only cares about his family reputation but today he was really worried about his reputation.

Now if we go back to the show's initial promo he was shown waiting for vidhi at a public place and it was vidhi who was a little insecure about them being from different class and of different ages and then he tells her when nature doesn't care about their ages why should they.

I am really looking forward to his transition to this person who throws caution to the wind and chooses love above all else

He is a. matured person who took the responsibilities of the family and work at a very young age now he got to be used to of life being a responsible man and look after everyone so it will take a lot of time to come out of his shell might be because of Vidhi ?or I am afraid he doesn't take a hasty dission to get rid of the psycho Amba.

Yep I agree he is, his world revolves around his family but in the initial promo he was shown as the brave one so I am looking forward to his journey from this dev to that one.

Seems Like he will.as writers are laying bases for a major track from last five episodes.

Great observation. I hadn't looked at it this way. It would be really interesting to see this transition.

Your analysis made me think about another thing people are discussing in a lot of places in this forum and even I found as out of place - Dev's on and off outbursts on Vidhi.

Just a theory though, what if Dev is a person who actually gets irritated and angry when things seem out of control or something happens that he disagrees with (like Vidhi visiting his house, mixing personal and professional arenas, being very stringent about "bharose ka maan rakhna" etc) but around his family he can't be his true self, he has to become a calmer and more composed version of himself because it is what is expected of him. Only around Vidhi, somehow he feels a certain unexplainable space where he can be himself, so he freely expresses his anger. Like that day without any reason he told Vidhi about Balghar and said he doesn't know why he told her.

@bold true I think dev's actions are of a person who keeps his anger and frustration inside and I think the frustration seems from his loneliness he has given his father a promise but its getting really hard for him to keep I mean look at his family! His sister looks like a brat his brother seems like a nice guy but won't share responsibility satyavati has her own set of rules that wreck havoc in the house and business and priya is well priya ...and all of them look to dev to solve their issues ...

On top of that vidhi isn't easy to deal with either she is innocent and cute but then she sometimes acts like gopi bahu!

Oh and amba is like a new problem he has to deal with. And out of all these people he can only actually take his anger out on vidhi . Whenever he has shouted at her its not really because of her mistake but due to all the stored anger he probably has on these people.

Also I don't really support this action he shouldn't really take his anger out on vidhi whatever the cause maybe.

Hahahahaha...... I laughed so badly reading the comparison with Gopi Bahu. That laptop washing scene, my goodness! In a way, it's apt though.

I too don't support Dev's outbursts on Vidhi, just trying to find some reason behind his unreasonable actions because I want to connect with him. And otherwise he is nice and we'll behaved and even his outbursts are far better than what is presented on TV regularly.
