And who are you to decide if he deserved or did not deserve it? I thought he deserved it. But I'll let the people who judge singing for a living decide this. And they thought he deserved it.

And thats why I'm using arguments OUTSIDE my opinion to argue for him, by using much-respected awards. Awards that every singer is always delighted to receive when he wins. It's award season again, and watch the hapiness in the eyes of all the people who receive these awards. They all wanted it, so when they get them, it's where they get the recognition they deserve. As Shaan once said, "I love winning awards". They all want them.

You guys on the other hand, without a doubt, don't like Himesh's personality and his antics. So you have a bias against him. Yet you have no other support besides your own opinions to dislike Himesh. What does that say? While I have support outside my own opinio (Support that is valued highly). What does that say?

No I don't have any bias against him. It is just that I don't like his singing. I love his compositions though. He is a very good music director but I can't say the same on his singing.

HR is a
...slightly above average music director
...below average singer

my opinion and no amount of awards can change it.

the only thing that will change my opinion is if HR comes out with an awesome album with awesome singing.

and yes, shreya ghoshal disagrees with me on those points (as ssk would point out) - according to shreya, HR is indeed one of the best singers of India

It doesn't matter if you like his singing or not. There are millions who do. And besides for what us people think, the award juries gave Himesh one of the most prestigious awards that only the best of the best (as you saw) receive. It's best to actually look for support OUTSIDE of our own opinions to decide how great he is. And here it is

But unfortunately he still hasn't won any award as a music director. So going by the awards criteria Himesh is a better singer than composer.
