Shaan! Because:
1. He thinks about his team before he thinks about himself. Himesh and Mika on the other hand just try and promote themselves.
2. He knows how to extract the best from his team (eg he did that with Debojit last time). Mohit has great singers like Hemachandra but he hasn't shown us their full potential yet.
3. He always ensures that all his team members get to sing in every episode. Himesh keeps using Vineet and hasn't even given his chhupa rustam a chance yet!

Shreya and Shankar are really good
too but for some reason I support Shaan coz he seems like a cool guy.

Shaan is the captain who gives mark correctly w/o worrying about his team wen they performed the judjes may give low marks..shaan is alway to be as honest to every one with their performance..hatss off to u shaan..love u..waiting for ur match..Shaan all the way..

Clearly the comparison is between shaan and shnkar.......no one else comes close.....

Many people are writing shaan because he is very visibly jumping and asking for votes etc.....but shankar trains his people well and is relying on pure merit singing......that is how it should be....after all the captain with max points is the best and therefore shankar !!!

Oh u felt bad while i said true,then i write those comment by seeing ur childish comment on shaan by jumping asking for votes..this indicates u feel jealous on shaan..then u too write decent comments while comparing to captains who is popular already in india with thier singing talent..new member is not a matter,i was commenting from the day one wen the show started music ka maha muqqabla..just first u dont be childish my friend sushan29..then i too wont pass such foolish comments..but u saying shankar is training well wen compare to shaan and u said this topic for captaincy..u r not comparing here about captaincy,u just declaring somewat other..
