Reshammiya back to facing the camera for 'Ahista Ahista'

Good news, yet again, for all Himesh Reshammiya fans who love to see him on telly day in and night out!

Get set for a few more weeks of Reshammiya worship as he continues to make his presence felt as a rock star on all music channels. He may not have faced the camera for his songs in 'Phir Hera Pheri' and 'Chup Chup Ke' but he returns with a bang as he holds the mike once again for two songs i 'Ahista Ahista', his latest film album.

The songs are title song and 'Allah Kare' for which he is seen in their remix versions. Though the beginning of the album's publicity had Reshammiya nowhere in the scene with Abhay Deol and Soha Ali Khan doing all the honors, with the album being recently released, the promotional videos are now out with Reshammiya singing with glory once more. While for the title song, he is shown singing on a stage in front of a LIVE audience, in case of 'Allah Kare', the best song of the album, he is shown walking at the center of a road in the darkness of night while looking right at you through the camera.

The fun continues!

Watch out as ROCKY - THE REBEL arrives

'Aksar' team of producer brothers Narendra Bajaj and Shyam Bajaj along with composer Himesh Reshammiya are back with a new action flick 'ROCKY - THE REBEL'.

Starring Zayed Khan in a title role, 'ROCKY - THE REBEL' has the young man romancing two heroines Esha 'Kisna' Shravani and Minisha 'Yahaan' Lamba. As per the producers, "Rocky is a youth-oriented action-family-musical-drama all rolled into one and once again Himesh Reshammiya has provided extraordinary music in the film."

The film is directed by Suresh Krishna who has earlier directed 'Love' and 'Bandhan' for the same producer duo.

forgot to add I have thought up of a name for our fanclub which is:

!!!!! I think its high time he is respected anyway 😉 planning to make a siggy which says this so that we can all use it soon!!!!

Q: What do you feel about Himesh Reshammiya's sudden success as a singer?
A: It's easy to criticise someone for singing through his nose. Who sets the rules for how a song should be sung? Times are changing. Different voices are coming and being accepted. With Himesh at least a distinctive voice from within the country has found acceptance.

Otherwise we've lately had strange voices from outside, no matter how besura, becoming successful. Pataa nahin kyon ! Why do we give so much importance to voices from outside? Stars dine with them, feature in their bloody music videos. They wouldn't do the same for me or any Indian singer.

i agree wid jem di , the kids don't resemble Himehsji !! but the boy is plump .........maybe 20 % he is Himehsji's kid ...but the girl - no way !!!

The Clap-O-Meter

Wizcraft may have organised the event, but the audience controlled the pace and the mood letting their feelings be clearly known with their claps and boos.

Of course Amitabh Bachchan got the maximum number of claps every time he appeared on stage or even on the monitor screens.

But there were others who rated highly on the clap-o-meter.

Abhishek Bachchan drew plenty of applause and calls of I love you and the crowd went into a frenzy when Hrithik and Salman appeared on stage.

Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri also did well on the clap-o-meter as did Rani and Preity.

Applause for Van damme

Vaibhavi Merchant, choreographer of Kajra Re, did not seem surprised to get loud applause but Jean Claude Van Damme couldn't believe that just a glimpse of him on the screen could generate such a response from an Indian audience.

South Indian celebrities Mohanlal, Vikram and Mammootty certainly had many fans in the auditorium but John Abraham was not even there - yet the audience clapped when some scenes from his film were shown.

Standing ovations

K.K. Mahajan, O.P. Dutta and Asha Parekh got standing ovations from the stars and the entire audience.

But Bela Sehgal's long winded acceptance speech was drowned out by the boos of the audience.

Himesh Reshammiya also ignored the catcalls and insisted on singing to Amitabh Bachchan and calling his "daddy" on stage.
