lemme try my limited understanding of business😆
ok.. so this was IMVs way of gauging the person who according to him is living off his mysterious aura.. created for his own benefit.. so he gives him a bait.. annual salary.. if he accepts it without working for him.. that is his WORTH.. or CAPABILITY.. which is non-negotiable.. which goes to say his projected image is more than his real worth.. and iMV wont waste his time and money on him.. and will get someone better.. who will easily win against this guy.. or by his cocky moves will make sure this guy's career is ruined..
2nd option that fits his scheme.. is if he accepts this money as his salary and that will be his cost.. for working for iMV.. generally a pre-paid annual salary could lure someone easier than a quarter or 6 month salary.. and this salary is his cost which again is negotiable as opposed to his worth..
now both options were posed in the perception that the jockey is projecting his image.. of an elusive man.. hard to get.. but if he really is such.. and doesnt agree to either cost or worth.. ie doesnt take the money.. and doesnt work for him.. then what.. but for story sake I think he may take the offer.. even for his career etc..
