Garv, Sid, Gauri.
Two men and a lone woman.
The man who weds Gauri is the PH's fav., the winner and the one who doesn't is the loser. Is that what we have reduced Gauri, a woman, to? A trophy?
If yes, then it is indeed sad.
Sid is a good man. A man who understands the intricacies of human relationships, a man who knows a woman's mind, not just his girlfriend's. He respects elders, traditions and commitments. But does his validity as a man gets compromised if he does not end up marrying Gauri?
Are we indirectly condoning a culture wherein a man's manhood lies in his getting the woman he fancies?
If yes, it is sad indeed.
What about Gauri? Can a woman not have a friend, philosopher, guide in a man who is not her father,brother or her husband. If she has Garv as a husband and Sid as a soulmate, will we sit on judgement on her?
If yes, then it is sad
Can we slightly expand our horizons now and look beyond having a woman as a prize to be handed out to any man?
