Bonai i had heard abt a show called Namak HAram on real so searched for it on net and found this

Introduction

A LOVE STORY

A Husband & Wife…

A fight for justice. And a clash of ethics…

A love so strong that it destroys…

A social change that extracts its price…

Namak Haraam is an intense story of love and betrayal between a husband and wife, driven apart by their conflicting value systems.

Namak Haraam is a tale of an intense love story that may go wrong.

It is the story of Swati and Karan, a happily married couple of five years. At a glance they have everything in common; they are young, ambitious and passionate about their personal and professional life but deep down they are two individuals with absolute different set of ideals.

Swati is an IAS officer. She is idealistic and honest. She believes that it is the journey that matters the most in achieving the goal. Karan, her husband believes in achieving the goal by hook or by crook. He is an entrepreneur and for him the journey is best when it's short and quick.

Life is comfortable for them till they are trapped in the bigger conspiracy of business acquisition of the corporate world. Karan's father, business tycoon Mr. Indrajeet Sehgal, influences his son to utilize the power Swati enjoys as a bureaucrat, to make profit in business. Karan agrees but very reluctantly Sehgal succeeds in his intentions and his business increases beyond expectation.

Swati discovers to her agony that she was manipulated by the person she had loved and trusted the most. Karan believes that all is fair in love and war and to his shock Swati decides to stand by her principles rather than her husband. Karan feels betrayed by the person he loved the most. But has Swati betrayed Karan? This question becomes the central point in the story and when it reaches a powerful climax, Karan realizes the extent of his betrayal of Swati. Will he set aside his ego and save his wife in the nick of time?

Swati's fight against injustice will resonate amongst Indian female viewers since they face oppression at home, at work and are unable to voice their opinion due to fear of retaliation from family members and society. Swati's fight symbolizes the internal fight in every woman, irrespective of economic strata; it is also representative of the social change that has been taking place for the last few years women are coming out stronger and are taking the lead overtly now. The show is a reminder of all that is good in each of us which can be harnessed as a compelling force for any social change – that a revolutionary change calls for the supreme sacrifice.

Swati and Karan Sehgal are played brilliantly by Narayani Shastri and Sachin Tyagi respectively. They are ably supported by a fantastic ensemble cast consisting of Shishir Sharma, Kishwar Merchant, Prithvi Zutshi and Smita Hai.

Narayani Shastri is an established television and theatre actress who has acted in successful shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkusum, Piya Ka Ghar and Koi Apna Sa.

Sachin Tyagi is a popular television actor, having acted in shows like Family Business, Saarthi, Saara Akaash, Sola Singaar, Kajal and Tumhari Disha, to name a few. He is also a trained singer and has performed in various shows in India and overseas.

Namak Haraam is produced by Panama Productions
