It was a successful day for my kudi.
1. Preparations for Diwali and
2. Slowly getting into the good books of MIL.
And I know many are not going to be happy because there was no interaction between my kudi and the Rat.
Everyone is hyper about uttan lagaoing - in the Lal household and in Nirmal's house. Chaijee goes to wake up her little baby who insists on sleeping. Gaaawwwwwwwwdddd!!!! What an overgrown baby. Pfffttttttt!!!!!!! He just wants to shleeeeeep na. And Mummy says, C'mon puttar - wakey wakey. So much of pampering. No wonder he's turned out to be a spoilt brat. Don't these mothers understand???
It is now revealed that the herbal oil is made by my kudi. MIL cant understand why the DIL wants to put balm on some parts of the body while she drives a dagger into their hearts on other occassions. Yes Kranti, why do you do that? I hope you don't get entangled in your own webs, sweetie!
MIL gives her new clothes to wear too. (I missed a bit after that due to a phone call).
My kudi has made a beautiful rangoli which the two elder women admire. MIL asks her DIL if she understands the meaning of Lakshmi's feet that she's drawing. The DIL answers phataphat. They seem impressed and then they leave.
As everybody is gathered in the main room getting ready to go to that harped about mela, my lass tells her SIL that the doc had advised her not to exert so she should take rest at home. BBR pouts, snaps and then angrily asks K why she is worried about the Chirag et al. But the two elder women agree with my kudi and ask BBR to stay put in her room. My kudi - oh oh oh. She looked like the cat who had licked all the cream. And then innocently asks, can I get you anything from the mela??????
And the Rat today actually vacated his seat for his older brother. Oh ! Where did he learn to do that? Ah ha ha! My kudi's good influence? Good Good . Accha baccha banna chahate hon? Long way to go, baba....
