Anyways, what I think is, the season can also bring in more creativity, and in the three months break, creatives can go back to the brainstorming for fresh ideas. But, we still do not have good enough concept of script writers/story line in India whether it be movies or serials. I think that we DO have concepts...but not many takers of those concepts as ppl would prefer to stay stuck in a rut and keep doing the 'safe' thing to make money....I don't think Hollywood is perfect that way either....in my honest opinion....none of the recent movies or shows on TV there also are that 'innovative' anymore....their movies especially seem to become more and more masalified formula fare these days😕

Anu, either makers do not know how to implement the concepts, or the concept are half backed. First week, what a different show, second week, vamps in all sizes mushroom, third week, we are like, we have seen that before... fourth week, it is a carbon copy of the rest.

And, I do agree, most of the TV channels are not prepared to take risk.

I cannot talk much about American soaps and movies, but know that, even they serve trash along with quality.

According to me, there are five elements around which all the stories of the world evolve: love, family, purpose, fight, and cirsumstances (in random order). Original creates something different using the same elements.

An yaar.....I agree....the problems are manyfold....it's not as simple as 'no one wants to try anything new'....even if new concepts are tried, they are a) not implemented well as you said or b) the audience is so used to instant glamor/glitz/gratification these days that simple storylines without over the top stuff don't work and they invariably turn into saas-bahu-vamp nonsense fares to click with the majority audience.
I think any story has to deal with relationships at different levels....the common factors that you mentioned are there in everyone's lives in some form or the other....so whatever be the concept....setting a storyline in a pre-independece era, in a hospital, in a military environment, in a business environment or even the regular saas-bahu stories......Relationships are the basis of everything.....THEY are what ultimately matter.....the problems come in when the creators of a storyline lose sight of what their background/basis is that makes THEIR particular story 'different'....cuz the differences are only in the backdrops and circumstances....the basic dynamics are the same across the board....so when they lose sight of that, then everything goes down the drain and nothing is left but a shell of a once brilliant idea now run over with saas-bahu plotting.

Good looks sells, and this is the only concept that is working in most of the serials, and we are to be blamed too. There was this soap on Sony, Yeah Meri Life Hai -- something similar-- it started on the concept of girl wanting to become a director, and when the story ended, the protagonist was a bahu rani and nothing more.

Anu, most of the serials should end within a year, the moment they try to strech, they lose it big time.

Yep, most shows SHOULD end within a year....but the problem is that since they all want to keep that option of going on for a long time open....they start to ruin their storyline in a few months only....thus not even leaving any chance for the show to stay decent for even a year!!

Hello Girls😛
What is today's discussion😆😳..
Sinse there is nothing to discuss about this week's episode..so we r here to bash Ekta Mata left, right and center na😉😆😃...Anyways that lady's kingdom is getting over now..Mahabharat is a flop...KGGK is ending..Kyunki is also in doll-drums😆..and all her latest shows r becoming disasters..So she is history now😃
Comming back to the mydda now😆..I think next week we will get to see a stronger side of Kranti..because the precap showed Kranti stopping that buddha with her hands😛...And also Raj will b nicely bashed by his family members next week😃 and then he might understand how it feels when u r proved wrong even when there is no fault of yours and someone just frames u for their own selfish motives😉😛..because Raj too did the same thing with Sohan Tauji and Kranti's Mamaji😃...
So I get a feeling some positive developments will definitely take place next week😳..
And Skepti...I agree with Anu..these creatives r never bothered about any Public Feedback..They r only concerned about trps..and if they see that showing this Social drama and Kranti torture r getting them the trps(u never know..aunties and buddha party might like these stuffs😕)..then they will keep us showing this crap irrespective of whether we like it or not🤢..So the best option is to stop watching it or watching it online instead😉 till the storyline improves so that their trps automatically come down😃..and then they will b forced to make changes in the track😛

Trying hard to keep the forum alive... 😆😆😆. K KEKTA Ke Mahabharat flopped, 😲 what a surprise, all those hunks did not save the show.

Did the episode show something positive, or it was the same downhill ride?

Mahabharat was pathetic from day one..I started watching it with some hope but now gave up completely..in front of Mahabharat, even this current scenario of MRD looks like a classic😆😆,..
Ekta is changing Vyaas's story completely😲..How can she show Bheeshm leaving Hastanapur😕,Duryodhan getting kidnapped and then Bal-Krishna saving Duryodhan from those kidnappers😕;Gandhari doing Jasoosi of her brother to find out about the kidnapper😕..and so many such craps😕

Hehehe....Kekta's MB is a joke yaar! I saw a few epis of that as well....then that Shakuni made his entry and I couldn't bear to look at his face or his over the top carcicaturish antics!🤢.....And everything else is too weird as well....the clothes, the typical Kekta saas-bahu dhishum dhishum camera angles.....painful stuff.....
I agree with Jyots...that show makes MRD look like a work of art!😆😆😆
