Sometimes one moment can change your life forever and you can never be the same ... sometimes all it takes is one moment to make everything perfect.. or crumble it into pieces..... One Moment is but all it takes
When on Thursday night i saw SaJan' proposal I went numb practically .... and emotionally i was drained - i had tears in my eyes and a sense of overwhelming joy in my heart something so in the extreme that i had no idea of what to say what to think what exactly must i write even if i make a post and hence i refrained that night as i wasnt coherent enough - i learned truly on that night how much has this couple moved me .... a fictional couple' union seemed a blessing to me like none other something as fervent as a prayer and as beautiful and pure as a dew drop on a misty morning ready to roll over from a leaf........
perhaps now with coherency by my side i may describe what exactly i felt ..... and describe the depths of my joy as it happened with each moment 😳
I'd start from where SaJan were left alone and the journey began slowly and steadily ..

the moment was so enchanting so beautiful as they were all alone and he knew what he had to do and she knew what was about to happen..... similar to their confession - when Samrat had dropped loads of hints to Gunjan about his intentions beforehand letting her know even before he said those 3 words... Yes I am here ONLY for you ... and you know - what is it for 😳
and there was a moment of silence and awkward words monosyllables after which she raises her hand quietly and shows him the chit on which he had written things he intended to say to her and he is surprised for a moment and asks her so you knew this all along and she shyly nods her head and they are all smiles as he realizes why had she asked him to go down on his knees and she smiles to herself
She says Samrat this is the most perfect moment of my life..... and he smiles as he admits ... that its the same for him too ☺️ 😳 ... however all his plans failed ... but i suppose that was beautiful cos love never needs any plans 😳 and so he just holds her hands as she was about to speak up and she quietly follows his lead 😍 ... reminds me of a VM made by mads on a song called Tu Bin Bataaye Mujhe Le Chal Kahiin .... 😳
and hence they arrive under the starry sky hands held lost in each other' eyes as she wonders why here... and all he can think of is its unbelievable ... Its finally happening... for the past 3 years this one moment was all he had dreamed of - the one moment he asked for in his every prayer with every breath that he had ... which would allow him to ask her - to be a part of his life once again ❤️ ..... and she smiles as he says this for she knows .. that' exactly what she feels too 😍
he says i had thought of surprising you as she listens to him wordlessly... he says i had thought of your favorite flowers and suddenly Uday starts to shower roses upon them as they are taken aback by surprise 😳 .. and are all smiles .. he then proceeds to talk of the violins and the girls who had came earlier come to play a little tune as she is overwhelmed ......
to me this signified so much more - i remember Gunjan had this scene where she is confused about her 'new' feelings for Samrat and on learning when in 'LOVE' we hear the instrument of our choice... she hears someone play a violin ... as well as the fact that Music has always been shown to have connected SaJan 😳 ... hence the significance even more
The Moment' arrival happens to be at hand and he is excited and thrilled at the same time ... as well as nervous as his happiness has eluded him before and so he says - Chashmish .. my heart & she understands - and completes his sentence - its beating too fast isnt it ? and he nods quickly with a smile as his heart pounds even faster with the moment happiness soaring it furthermore 😍
So again taking a leaf out of the memoirs... here comes a moment when she advices him to beat his fear and nervousness as he had once when she had stage fright and had advised her to imagine people in costumes to not be afraid of them .. and he says this was what i did ... to which she replies - over time i have become somewhat like you and his smile broadens.. to which she has an equally dazzling smile 😍
in the course of love ... we often dont realize the change we go through or that pur partner does when its gradual ... cos that's what happens when true love happens...
as i had read in a quote somewhere...

all she wishes to hear are his feelings... once again find a way back to that path when their hearts spoke to each other all that transpired and let them connect again as she holds his hand and keeps it over his heart ... letting him know whatever he speaks now .. his feelings... his heart' will find a way to her's as she places his hand over her'..😍 all the while them being unable to take their eyes off each other 😍
and so the look on his face changes .. from nervousness to a determined one as he holds her hand and looks her in the eyes all the while as her smile urges him the strength to carry on.....as he finally goes down on his knees 😍

and then comes the most awaited part .... finally ... as he begins the thing which has managed to win over a million hearts... the communication which SaJan are known for....
he says Chashmish ... i had always felt i was some love guru .. no one could love like me - dates dances flowers gifts romantic lines - i felt all of this was love... and she smiles as he goes on .. her expressions which seem to say - of course i know this ... but it never was you ... and even you dont know it silly 😳
and he continues ... then one day suddenly i met this girl with lovely long hair a sweet innocent face who wore specs .. which makes her smile who merely took a step into my life and it changed 😍 and its you Chashmish .. that girl ☺️
I learned what is love from you ... and it felt as if suddenly a rainbow was cast over my life which had filled my world with colors .. for before her ... his life had been in a storm wherein he was lost even to himself 😳
he went on ... letting her know .. what she means to him - for all his world revolves around her ❤️
whenever i used to make a joke - i would look upon you the first to see whether you had smiled - for her smile was essential to him for his own .. as i remember a scene he had during the sheena track with benji - where he said if Chashmish smiles then my whole day becomes brighter .. but when she doesnt it feels there is nothing right 😍
when i scored a basket my eyes would search for you in a crowd of thousands - for all it mattered to him was she had a pride in his accomplishment .. that she was overjoyed for even his minor victories ...😳 it dint matter who else was there but her
when i failed .. i would not look into your eyes - cos we cannot ever want to let down someone we love... someone who has faith in us .. someone who means so much to us 😳 when i passed - you'd be the first to know it - cos it mattered to him that he made her proud .. that he shared his triumphs with her cos victory or loss wasn't essential to him - what was ... that she had to be a part of anything ... and everything 😳

and so unable to stop herself any further ... hold back what he means to her ... to let him know how important he is to her as well she goes down upon her knees ... this one act one gesture ... one move made the whole moment so beautiful i think perhaps only this quote from one of my most favorite novels - the Notebook by Nicholas sparks can do justice to it 😳

she begins with the most simplest part - that she learned what is love from 'HIM' 😳 for she never saw anything beyond her glasses... cause to everyone that was her - a girl with specks ... and hence no one ever realized the beauty of those eyes which had so many things to say yet were unread... until he came along and glanced into them ... as on their first Diwali together - he had let her know - when she was unable to voice her thoughts and he had sensed it.. telling her i only reading eyes ... the words soft and hidden in them .. and she had realized that he noticed the one thing no one ever saw 😳
she lets him know .. when he held her hand - did she truly meet herself - that never had i even dreamed that someone would love me so much as his eyes start brimming too - for he finds himself regaining that paradise of his .. which was once so unfortunately lost to him 😳
she carries on when she says that in these past 4 years .. you have given me every happiness in the world small or big ..yet expected nothing from me as his eyes lower when he realizes... the gratitude of her heart and love reaching out to him... cos to him - it never was necessary for her to say this however hearing it fills his heart up 😳
she lets him know she learned from him - that love is about giving as she finally touches his face and asks him of one final thing .. the biggest cos she knows only he can grant it to her .. and that she is the only one allowed to ask him that .. as she says never let this love ever ever decline
and so he promises her .. as he holds her hands .. that it'd never happen - never even when we are 60 and you'd forget your specs... as i'd find them for you which makes her smile... in return making her promise she''d get his dentures.. when he'd forget them - and he says off course my back would be broken trying to enter your window at the age of 60... which was their way of promising a together forever now without saying those words 😳
as she recalls his cooked up story to hide his plan to propose to her about fights between spouses over who'd switch off the lights in the night - she settles it right there itself not wanting even the smallest tiff to occur - saying you'd switch off the lights in the night 😆
as he continues - that you'd be there the first thing as i awake in the morning 😍
she tells him to always call her "chashmish' as now that's her identity - however when he had a fight with her over suhani' lie - he had called her Gunjan - which hurt her... as did it hurt him when she had taken away the right to let him call her that blaming him for the accident 3 years ago
she cups his face with both her hands .. as she promises to take her last breath in his arms.. which in turn makes him cup her face equally lovingly as well promising her - that so would he..
he pours his heart out to her as he goes on saying he wishes to share every happiness every grief of his life with her .. wishes to plan all his things with her by his side in his life ... as he wishes to share each moment of his life with her - for without her his life ceases to exist itself...
which was his state.. having lived through hell without her going to the extremes having nearly lost her...
finally he gets the ring and asks her the question that she had been meaning to hear for so long now.. which he had been dying to ask her - Will You Marry Me ? 😍 as she wordlessly nods having run out of words to say... too overcome to speak making him slip the ring on her finger following which she holds him in his arms.. something she'd wanted to do for so long as did he.....
as they arise the only words left to say are those which now have possibly been left unsaid for so long as they utter those 3 words 😍 and hold each other to now never let go ........... 😍
followed by what seems like a dream song sequence with them returning back to the real world where in a flash they dream a thousand dreams reliving the moment of her wish - when she had envisioned him to make her his bride .. as Samrat puts the duppatta on her head ... and gently kisses her forehead... following which there is a moment which describes the passion of their love their desire to be one truly as in the end he twirls her like he had done before on the night which in SaJan' ways was truly coming a circle - again 3 years back was the night of their proposal 😳
