First let me specify the bold part a bit more, cuz you know how some are desperate to point out any kind of fault be it cultural, emotional, acting-wise, etc, etc in Samrat and Gunjan's jodi. So, s/he meant their intimate scene after the date, during and AFTER marriage.

Now as for your observation, I agree. I also think he loves her mere presence.
