Even I feel the same. Moreover I don't think Mayank was the one who placed that stone at the accident spot as it says "our dear friend". Most probably, both Mayank & Gunjan were unconscious and Samrat took the entire responsibility of performing the last rites of Nupur (here I have a doubt whether Nupur is really dead or this is one more DMG). So both Gunjan & Mayank are blaming Samrat that he didn't allow them to pay their last homage.
