SaJan OS – Because You Loved Me
All right now may be i am going way overboard with my overactive imagination but the track which has hardly begun well i seem to have thought of an end to it as well.😳
As per my OS Neil confessed his love to Gunjan her & proposed her as well for marriage as days went by, however the shock was too much for Gunjan to bear as she always saw Neil as a friend ever since her morena days & he remained so till this day to her, but taken off guard by his feelings she couldnt continue their friendship any longer nor wished to see him anymore, thus the movie in which she was cast as lead was shelved & Neil decided to leave her life forever, however 1 tiny formality remained for which they had to meet last time, it was for the annulment of Gunjan' contract , Neil didnt want the producers to bother Gunjan for it thou she had already returned the signing amount cheque which she never encashed.
It was for this last meet that Samrat has to convince Gunjan to meet Neil as he had called up Sam. This is from where my OS takes off, Neil' exit & SaJan convo.
Gunjan was in the music room of Excel as it was her abode – the place she found solace in as it's here that truly her journey with Samrat began , the place she always associates with all their memories , Sam came up from behind & saw her carefully going thru a collections of Cd' of some classic old songs by legends.
Slowly he crouched & stood really close behind her & suddenly spoke up almost making her gasp.
S: mere baare main soch rahi thi chashmish
G: samrat, tum bhi na aise aake mujhe daara diya
S: oh toh tumhe mujhse ab bhi darr lagta hai maine toh socha tha ki ab aisa kuch nahi
G: nahi hai , par aise achanak se tum aaoge mujhe thodi nah pata tha
S: hmm... achanak .. thik kaha chashmish... bilkul pyar ki tarah ... kab kaise .. yeh kaha kisski life mein aa jaaye kuch pata nahi lagta hai na
For a second gunjan blushed, but then she looked up to him in his eyes & said : ha bilkul pyar ki tarah dabe pao .. chup chap
Samrat went a bit closer to her as her breath & heartbeat went up as it usually did with his proximity and she turned her face with a shy smile on her lips, to which Sam gently placed his finger under her chin & made her face him.
S: thik kaha chashmish... pyar hamesha chup chap dabbe pao hi hamari life main aata hai .. kabhi is room ki ambience aur theme ki tarah hamari life main music bankar rah jaane ke liye.. 1 sweet si melody bankar to kabhi hamesha ke liye sab kuch khamosh kar deta hai.. 1 ajeeb si silence ko hamari life main chhodkar
G: ha pyar na mille to life sach jaise bilkul chhup si ho jaati hai
S; chashmish kitna ajeeb hai na ... hum ek doosre se milte hai aur pata bhi nahi lagta kab pyar ho jaata hai... ab humme hi dekhona .. main hamesha tumhare baare main sochta tha .. tum hamesha mere saath rehti thi par mujhe apne pyar ko realize karne main time lag gaya
G: Samrat pehle jo hua so ho gaya ab purani baaton ko lekar kyun baithe? Tum hi kehte ho na ki aaj main jeena chahiye.. toh ye sab kya leke baith gaye ?
S: main bas yeh soch raha tha chashmish ke 2 log jab milte hai to kya hota hai
G: do logon ke milne par pyar hi toh hota hai Samrat.. she said so with a smile.
S: ha chashmish ... par hum hamesha un logon se toh nahi milte na jinse humme pyar hota hai ... ya jo humse pyar karte hai
The way he said it & the look on his face made Gunjan sure this wasnt Samrat being just moody or suddenly very thoughtful about having a discussion, rather he had thought it out .. this whole convo.
G: kya baat hai Samrat ? tum aisi baatein kyun kar rahe ho ? kya kehna chahte ho ?.. she said so with a slight anger & annoyance on her face.
She knew where this was going post Neil's confession & proposal which the gang had witnessed as somehow they happened to be there, Gunjan was really in no mood to talk of all this as she had left that day with tears, running away telling Neil how hurt she is by him & that her heart belongs to Samrat.
The whole gang was too annoyed with Neil.. Nupur too who had so wanted to work with him on the movie wouldnt talk to Neil as he tried in vain to do so, however Samrat was unusually calm & supprtive of Neil.
He wasnt angry, jealous or annoyed by him and this bothered Gunjan but she let the matter be as somehow this topic reminded her of that moment & she so never wanted to recollect it .
G: bolo samrat
S: chashmish main chahta hu ki tum us contract ko annul karne ke liye Neil se 1 last time millo.
G: mujhe un papers ko sign karne ke liye Neil se milne ki koi zarrorat nahi hai Samrat.. uska koi assitant bhi unhe laa sakta hai aur main unhe sign kar doongi
S: baat sirf us contract ki nahi hai chashmish.. tumhe neil se 1 last time to milna chahiye hi .. tumhari purani friendship ke liye his sahi
G: woh friendship ab khatam ho gayi hai Samrat... aur tum ye jaante ho aur uski reason bhi
S: ha main jaanta hu aur isi liye tumse request hai chashmish ke tum neil se millo
G: tum kaisi baatein kar rahe ho Samrat ? kaise boyfriend ho tum ? apni hi girlfriend ko keh rahe ho ki us ladke se millo jisne usse pro.. propose kiya hai
S: ha chashmish main tumse yehi keh raha hoon pls naaraaz mat ho
G turned around & said ; aisi baatein karte ho aur kehte ho naaraaz mat ho
Sam made her face him again by holding her shoulders & Said: ha chashmish meri taraf dekho pls.. naaraaz mat ho .. main jaanta hoon ki tum apni jagah sahi ho yeh sochne main ki main aisa behave kaise kar sakta hoon ? hai na.. par chashmish iski reason bhi tum ho
G: main.. maine kya kiya hai ?
S: chashmish .. life mein mujhe wrong or right mein fark tumhi ne sikhaya hai... hamesha mujhse yeh kehke ki main sahi hoon ya galat.. aur yeh main isi liye keh raha hoon neil is not wrong
G: Samrat...
S took her hands in his ... : tumhe yaad hai chashmish... jab hamari life mein sheena aayi thi ... chashmish.. pyar main tumse tab bhi karta tha ... par realize nahi kar paya..
Sam looks down : chashmish jo mere aur sheena ke beech tha woh sirf attraction tha.. but then he faces her .. lekin hamare beech usse bahut zyada hai chashmish.. hamara beech pyar hai... main us time bhi har pal sirf tumhare baare mein sochta lekin samjha nahi ki yeh pyar nahi toh aur kya hai jo main tumhare liye feel karta hoon.
Chashmish trust me us poore waqt mein sheena ke saath mujhe yaad nahi aisa koi moment tha jab main jo tumhare saath feel karta hoon aisa kuch .. ya thodasa bhi feel kiya ho
G: par us sab ka is baat se kya matlab?
S: matlab hai chashmish.. hai .. neil ne tumse yeh zaroor kaha ki woh tumse pyar karta hai .. tumhe propose bhi kiya par tumhari na sunke woh phir nahi lauta
G: par woh gaya bhi nahi
S: ha kyunki tumne usse roka hai
G: Maine ??? kya keh rahe ho ?
S: ha chashmish.. tumne .. apna jaawab deke .. uski feelings reject karke tumne apna dil toh halka kar liya par usse 1 baar bhi yeh chance nahi diya ki woh yeh baat khatam kar sake .. tumhari maafi leke yaha se guilt free hoke jaa sake

S: chashmish... jab hum kissise pyar karte hai aur usse hurt karte hai .. toh humme bhura lagta hai .. aur hum khudko maaf nahi kar pate jab tak woh humme na maaf kar de
Us din tum chali gayi aur neil apne aap ko maaf nahi kar paa raha tumhe rulane ke liye
G: agar woh aisi baat na karta toh aisa kuch nahi hota
S: par ussne aisa kya kiya chashmish ... sirf apni feelings ko confess hi kiya na
G: tum ye sab itna lightly kaise le sakta ho Samrat
S: mein yeh lightly leke nahi balki sochke keh raha hoon
G : tum kehna chahte ho ki tumhe bhura nahi lagaki kissi aur ladke ne mujhse aise baat ki.. ki mujhe propose kiya ?
Samrat lets out a sigh.. nahi
G: nahi???
S: nahi matlab .. jhooth kahoonga agar kaha ki nahi laga.. ki gussa nahi aaya ki nahi socha jaake uska mooh tod do .
G: toh phir?
S: maine kaha na chashmish.. tumhari wajah se .. dimag jab shaant hua .. toh dil ne kaha aisa kya galat kiya neil ne ..? pyar hi kiya hai na.. koi gunaah to nahi ?
G: samrat .. par maine usse kabhi aise nahi dekha
S: jaanta hoon chashmish.. with that he cups her face
Par koi tumse pyar kaise nahi kar sakta.. pyar na karta to maanta.. kiya to kaise galat maanu aur kyun ?
Gunjan tries to remove Sam's hands but he holds em again close to his heart ; chashmish.. tum bhi toh tab bhi mujhse pyar karti thi na jab main sheena ke saath tha.. bina kissi shart.. bina kissi umeed ke .. tumne bhi toh yeh expect nahi kiya ki main tumse pyar karoon.. par main tumse pyar karne laga .. ya kahoo ki tumhare pyar ne mujhe apna pyar realize karwaya
G stood there mum as she took in his words
S: tumne mujhse yeh kabhi kaha nahi ki main tumse pyar karoo.. tab bhi nahi jab mere jail jaane par sirf tum roi.. tab bhi nahi jab tumne morena jaane se pehle mujhse apne dil ki baat kahi jisse main sun nahi paaya tha .. yaad hai na
Chashmish .. neil bhi tumse sirf apne dil ki baat keh raha tha aur kuch nahi .. ussne shayad ha expect ki thi .. par na sunke usne tumhare decision ko respect kiya

S smiled a bit : aur main tumse.. hum lucky hai chashmish .. ki hum mille aur humme hamara pyar bhi milla .. yeh sab kuch sirf isliye hai chashmish Because You Loved Me....par neil hamare baare mein nahi jaanta tha us din tak.. jaanta toh shayad aage baat na badhti

Sam's smile grew a bit wider.. but he composed himself & said: baat yeh nahi ki tum kissi se eh kaho ya na kaho ki hum saath hai chashmish .. tum meri ho aur mujhe is baat par poora bharoosa hai ... par main neil par bhi naaraaz nahi kyunki ussne bhi bas wohi kiya hai chashmish.. jo tumne mere liye kabhi kiya tha .. bina kissi umeed ya shart ke pyar.. usse uska pyar toh nahi mil sakta.. par dost toh mil sakti hai na
Chashmish.. tum agar usse milke usse maaf kar doogi toh woh bhi is baat ko bhool paayega...warna yeh guilt aur dukh shayad usse aage nahi badhne dega.. forgive him chashmish.. let him move on.. set him free
Gunjan never saw it from this POV: shayad tum thik keh rahe ho Samrat maine aise socha hi nahi achha hua jo tumne mujhe aise galat step se rok diya.. main neil se last time mil ke usse maaf kar doongi taaki woh phir hamari life main na aaye.
S: chashmish baat yeh nahi ki woh hamari life main na aaye.. hamare beech toh koi bhi nahi aa sakta.. par baat yeh hai ki tum uski life se jaa sako.. jo main jaanta hoon ki hard hoga
Gunjan was saddened as she never thought this: tum thik keh rahe ho Samrat i am sorry
S: tumhe sorry nahi kehna chahiye.. par i should say thanks.. chashmish... he kissed her hands as his still held em .. main jaanta hoon ki hum lucky hai ki humme hamara pyar milla hai.. par main zyada lucky hoon hum dono main.. kyunki main jaanta hoon .. meri chashmish itni acchi hai ke kissiko bhi usse pyar ho sakta hai.. par main woh khushnaseeb hoon jisse tumne pyar kiya hai
G: Samr.. before she could complete he placed a finger over her lips.
S: neil pe main bhi gussa tha .. par phir jab koi tumse pyar kare toh main usse kaise zyada der tak galat maan sakta hoon.. bhale hi mujhe yeh baat pasand na ho because i love you par main usse maaf kar sakta hoon.
Saying so they smiled as they touched their foreheads & later hugged.
The following evening Gunjan accompanied by Sam met neil .. she signed those papers & yes forgave neil who was beyond happy for it & thanked Sam for this & yes left with 2 friends forever in his life in SaJan... who stood side by side as Sam put his arm around Gunjan's shoulder as they watched him leave as they smiled & Gunjan put her head over Sam's shoulder as she had her arms around him – 1 around his back & the other around his chest as he lovingly looks at her face beam up with a smile.. cupping it with his other hand.
