Praise be to God!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Neetu, Thank you so very much. Truly from the bottom of my heart. For the last two years or so I have been asking every tom, dick and harry 'is there any series that ended before imploding upon itself?' No one could give me an acceptable, quibble free response.

UNTIL NOW. Pack up your bags, turn off the lights and put your minds to rest the impossible search is over! YIPPEE!" I had forgotten about Seinfeld. THANK YOU!!!! I knew it, somewhere the exception would be found. (AND I don't just mean you, Neetu😆) I knew that it is possible for a show to continue over a long period of time without losing the plot, just as long as it held true to the characters. Thank you for helping me see the light.👏

Is there room for me in your hole too, what if I ask a voodoo doctor to shrink my head?

As for my style of expressing myself, I don't know where that came from, but I do know three things in this respect. Firstly you are in the minority of people who do not find it grating. Secondly that it began to develop when I started being true to myself and feelings and unashamed to express things in the manner I wanted to, regardless of the negative intentions people would or might apply to them. Finally that all beauty and goodness are bounties of God and therefore accessible to all. How wondrous and exciting the journey of the human soul. Why do we put up walls?

"I know that for every step I take towards you, I take one hundred away from you. But the length of that step is like the distance to the farthest most unknown star."

Sorry, my brain works like a pachinko machine!

@ stuti Thank you for your contribution. This is why I love interacting with others, to get different viewpoints. How can you grow as a person if you see life through blinkers and only view it through rose tinted spectacles, or whatever other colour you decide.

I somewhat agree with you in regards to loyalty to the actors. However are they really doing justice to themselves by playing mediocre roles? How will they improve their technique?

It would pain me a lot to see the end of Mayur and MJHT but rather that then for it to go the way of DMG. I would ultimately like to see it end with a big bang, on a high note then to be remembered as something of a joke.

And remember...You see beauty becuase you are beautiful and hold a beautiful heart, and your reward will therefore be that you will live in a beautiful world, whereas if you see ugliness the opposite will be true....let me let someone else say it for I doubt i will be able to say it better.

"Once a student asked his master, is it the leaves upon the trees that move or is it the wind that moves? His master turned to him and replied 'It is neither...

...For it is your heart that moves."

loved your post. its actually true. i remember earlier i could identify with the situations in the show and characters were true to their "nature" but now i could find only a glimpse of the original characters and the silly storyline the less said the better. but the truth is that any show sticks to the original storyline and churns out reasonable stuff is in indian soaps 6 months or give it a year and english soaps say 3 seasons rofl🤣 those social message churning shows stick to concept for few months and end up in mansions wearing ethnic clothes and pathetic expressions, i can hardly understand the social conditions or incorrigible hindi. but i did watch early star one shows remix and special squad. remix turned into series of break ups and patch ups and ss into romantic cop story🤢 within 6 months. same is with english soaps oc & gg became more or less guilty pleasure within 2 seasons and bones and csi- am bored already we know they are into each other, they know they are into each other. what are they waiting for? and the original real characters became caricature. now sorry if i am offending you but i was never into seinfeld it was a good laugh but it was only that a good laugh. but i adored friends it was rib tickling no doubt but the characters felt real the situations felt real could connect with them but i loved how they would make fun of serious situations especially chandler. but after few seasons the sarcasm became too much, group became idiotic but the human touch was still there so i still watch re re runs religiously. so when i compare mjht does have a lot more sense and i feel is doing pretty well for a show on air for more than a year. or maybe i am a sucker for feel good shows with wonderful actors 🤣😉🤣 sorry for the long post. take care!

@2kul4u
Thank you for replying. I liked your in depth analysis. Please feel free to add more, if you waded through my swamp of a post I gladly skip through yours.

Do you not think then, that when shows start to sour instead of prolonging the inevitable they should finish them off, in the same manner and excellence that they began and with dignity and decorum?

My mother tells me that there was a show in England in the 80's called keeping up appearances, which went on for five seasons and they decided to end it on a high note even when the public demanded more they refused BECAUSE they wanted it to be remembered well. AND it is!

Again in America, more recently, the show supernatural was only intended for 5 seasons because they didn't want to drag it into nonsensical complicated story, they wanted it remembered well. However after another outcry, they have decided to extend it, the creator/writer won't be continuing, only he knows why and only God knows what will become of the show. I am a optimist and I do believe that a show can remain good indefinitely if desired IF they stick to the heart of their characterizations.

Please feel free to say what you, however long, I will read it.

hey dear i must say u write brilliantly...i knew what u meant when u said that u dont want mjht to end on a sour note...so that it is remembered like a joke what is literally happening with dmg....n i so agree with u on this front. and i can say that the problem u r talking abt is the biggest problem with mjht since day one...."ppl start behaving so strange than what they actually have been characterised till date...n rather so strange that u fail to recognise...r they the same ppl whom u knew"...which has till now happened with almost everyone in mjht just exc. samrat.n (thank god for that)....in my view the amount of focus cvs give on samrat's character they need to give on each character of this show.....well though even i am a big samrat fan...but in my view his character is always given preference in terms of other characters.....which as a lover of his i may like but as a sensible viewer i dont.I think the cvs r going confused with the ratings....they want the ratings to become as high as for any other typical hindi drama....without understanding that this show has another class of viewers.....ppl who r mostly in their teens n tweens.....who find a logic for everything.U know its but natural in this age....being a part of the youth brigade...u search for a logic even in a fiction show or a fantasy novel....the cvs need to understand this....only then they can outstand in making something that though doesnt enjoys a heavy rating like any other saas taunting bahu type show...but enjoys a perfect
admiration from its target audiences thats us.

hmm....... i do agree with you, now if makers think they cant handle or cant do justice to it, they should end it. but here neither makers think that nor the viewers, i remember during MN marriage track there was a petition to end the show, only 20% were in favour of it. the popular opinion was getting married at 19 was not melodramatic, getting raped or getting knocked up was now i am not passing comments on anyone but i was shocked to hear it. the track was horrible but the post wedding track had potential with 2 kids trying to survive and forced to grow up before their age but all i see now is tv sets and picnic trips, but people still seem to worship it and makers are all the more glad to continue, but i did visit the feed back thread and hope the ideas there are followed, i guess the optimistic side of me

@princessyashika

Thank you for your kind attention. I was a little confused near the end of your post (sorry I hope I don't misunderstand you, if I do please feel free to set the record straight). I do agree that it is worse when the creatives start looking off the map but then again as Richard Dean Anderson said "fans do not want creators to dumb things down so that a cow could understand it!?"

Also I 100% agree samrat is the one character left unscathed.

@2kul4u

I am absolutely not asking for the show to be cancelled. It is not MINE! The creators can do as they please. I was just thinking out aloud. However I am the type of person who cannot walk by a stray cat nor watch as some unknown slowly fades away. Alas, my heart always stops to at least try to save the day (not in an egotistical superhero sense) as Edmund Burke said
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men (and women) do nothing!"

😆...I am one of the people who liked your post...having said that..
Yes, it has lost it's charm and it is hard to regain. If you look at it carefully the characters have moved away from the original sketch....they are not they were.....they didn't grow or evolve ...they are lost....
the people are willing to see it...so it will be shown....
who are it's target audience by the way... who are they aiming at.... people are lookingfor instant gratification in the form of romance so that they can satisfy fantasies and fairy tales.... reality is a hard sale and showmakers are not even willing to market it.... there is hardly a concept anymore....just random tracks oscillating between family drama and cheap comedy track....and everything in between...
Then again my posts and attitude drips with negativity ...so why do I want to bother posting in the forum....
Just as an FYI.... next time you post...start with OMG...or insert HAWT in your topic title you have better chance of people responding...people have insatiable need to drool and idolize their favorites.... the meaningful discussions will be treated this way...
So have fun in the forum and peace out...

firstly i start off with your quote:::
" I love MJHT, and still do, how can I hate something that has brought me hours of pleasure and joy?"......
.....u know i felt sooo happy reading this line...i never felt like this reading any other post before...... and thats because thats what exactly and completely even i feel of mjht.........!!.
also....yes... even i didnt like the way the last track ended........and felt a bit let down.....!!!! but i strongly believe if you love something sooo much.... you must also be ready to accept flaws or atleast be able to forgive them.....!!! i know its tough for some...... but still one has to move on....!!!....
i agree with you on one more thing.........we cannot just pass it off as---- " for entertainment only".....
i have gone beyond that stage with MJHT.... its much more for me now.... and i think(after reading you post).... its the same with you too...!!!

yess even i dont like romance all the time(as many of them here seem to suggest..... thats why i dont like amny of the forum topic these days), yes even i dont like out of the world situations(that have been a part of mjht in past few epi's) , change in characterizations....(thats the worst thing that can happen to any show.... cos the characters form the soul of the show).!!!
(but i think even the CVs are not that foolish.... may be they had some compulsions...may be.........)

even then i m ready to forget and forgive the mistakes and move on...!!!
i donno why... but.... i still have a lot of faith in MJHT, in the CVs and most importantly and more than everything else in the ACTORS....!!!!!
and i cant really figure out a reason for that....!!!!! may be i m soo soo attached to it that i dont want to let it go..... however good or bad it is.... once i have accepted something....... it stays with me forever...cos ultimately there was something in it that made me accept it..... and may be there still is something i has kept me hooked to it.....!!

having said all this.... i really loved your post.....!!!!!!....its sarcastic yet has a strong sense of emotion....!!!! we rarely get to see such post these days on the forum...... but i really think you should forget everything and move on....!!!

love
