The true test of an actor is when he gives brilliant & spontaneous expressions without the aid of an organic compound called "glycerine"😉 AB was fine in the glycerine induced teary scene..no marks to him for that in my opinion..but fails to impress most times when he is required to give the right expression at the right time..rightly pointed out by you.Comparison is not allowed in IF..otherwise, I would've liked to have said a lot more😊
Using glycerin is one thing but actually speaking with your eyes is something the actor has to learn by himself.
I wanted to make a comment too but as you said, we aren't allowed to compare but I did like Mayank's reaction to Gunjan's condition the most today. 😊
