hey, just saw the episode...great post and writeup...
here r my random thoughts...
regarding Morena track, well, lets say, it did live upto my expectations.
I expected DDLJ inspired scenes, especially since the two promos prior to the track made that point a little
too obvious. I did not mind those scenes. as a matter of fact, yes, I really liked them cuz SaJan/MoNaya made those scenes their own, so to say!
for me the last few episodes have been like an addition to the exam track. this was the first track where Samrat's vulnerable side was shown.
regarding the episode, I really liked what Samrat said to Gunjan (SaJan fan in me can't stop it) about her simplicity, nature....and told her to never change. yes actions speak louder than words but samrat backs up his words with actions. he meant what he said and for this, i adore him even more..
i completely agree with ya on the Samrat-Bauji scene. i think that Bauji understands where Samrat is coming from since he himself sent his daughters to Mumbai to study. he has that trust in his daughters as well. that when far from him, they will do what is right. gunur are not living with their father yet that does not mean they have become spoiled brats. so probably bauji took bui's constant putting down of Samrat personally....as he himself sent his daughters to study in a big city...the same trust Bauji shows in his daughters, he now showed in Samrat. which is really very special..
i like how they handled the bauji-samrat scenes with maturity and sensibility...
when you're on your own, you do not have someone telling you to do this or that. you are your own master and IT IS UPTO to make your own decisions and decide what is right and wrong. that is a great judgment of character right here. Samrat could have been a RV kinda guy but he's not and somewhere i think his judgment and character plays a role. he may not be the most responsible guy in the world but when needed, he can be that mature and caring guy u can count on...a good friend...a good boyfriend...Samrat proved this point in the wed "chand" scene with Gunjan.
i sometimes crib about this show a lot but here i gotta give some credit where its due lol. i think the CV have managed to create a somewhat sensible storyline on Samrat living on his own and his parents residing in France. they could have completely overlooked that and just shown him as a happy-go-lucky dude with absent parents. but they have brought his insecurities and vulnerabilities to the forefront.
i would like to see Bauji again and hopefully won't have to wait a year
also Bauji mentioned GuNur's mother today...
I dont recall Gunjan talking about her mother with Samrat. Now this would make for a good SaJan scene in the future. I defo wanna see SaJan romance but i also wanna see their trademark understanding and bond strengthen, especially since they are a couple now.
so in conclusion, I don't know what the original point of the Morena track WAS (chinky shaadi, bui dictator or something else) but SOMETHING def did come out if...
i HOPE this is just the BEGINNING and not the END (as often happens with most telly couples)
