Expressions Over Substance, Actors Over Characters

Last couple of episodes have survived on expressions rather than substance, if at all.

Talking about MN:
Rati has consistently saved MN from their dwindling 'story'. Like in today's episode, if you see the fight scene minus Rati-Arjun, with say..uhmm.. Varun and Roshni [ :P ] from the new show, I am sure it would have been criticized a hell lot more. What made it even worth watching were the expressions of the actors. The substance and the importance of the story and characters seems lost and irrelevant.

Talking about SG:
I think everybody would agree that we have seen friends interefered by a third person (love interest of one) somewhere. What makes it different is Sanaya's brilliant and real acting. Today, the tears welled up in her eyes and her nose turned red, was so very well enacted.

I guess asking for a solid story and strong characterization is not too much. I think MJHT gets away with its lousy dialogues and non-substantial story coz they have some pretty good actors.
What do you think?

@Mits: I totally agree about you with Rati n Arjun's saving the day for MN story(?)...MN are surviving ONLY on ArTi's acting, that too majorly Rati's acting. No offense to anyone but I think Arjun also falters sometimes, I can't blame him though when the directors don't guide him properly how much can he do by himself......using substance for MN "story" would be like altering its meaning completely....

With SG story though I would credit the actors as well as the creatives, not just the actors.....

Mitssy

thats always been the case...

MJHT's kick-ass track has always been saved by the actors... but uski bhi koi limit hoti hain!... i mean hw much can they do
FOr me Rati's chulbuli-ness is the life of the show and I have already forgotten the original mayank so he doesnt matter.. it maybe different for others...

ewww @ the new show..bad experience! skip it

ditto mitsy

the saving grace of almost all the craptastic (the word expresses just my view and is not a generalized approach) MN scenes has been due to Rati and Arjun's fabulous acting, especially Rati's. Her each and every expression is just perfect!

Sanaya is a very good actress, no doubt. I havent watched the epi yet, so cannot comment on that, but am sure that she must have done an applaudable job with it.

Talking about substance, with such dialogues and randomness, substance is not something that can be expected from this show. And regarding the characters *cough* especially M one *cough*, words cannot express the inconsistency and tackiness of it.🤢

i totally agree..the pain expressed in their eyes was there for all to see..frankly i never seem to remember MJHT's dialogues but always the scenes enacted by the actors especially ARTI and Mohit Gunjan epitomizes the character they portray...amazing bunch of actors here..Makes MJHT what it is today.. A Jackpot for Star One and a Dil Ko Sukuun for it's viewers

Thank you all for your comments/views.

Arjun is a good actor but as Caro said he has faltered too. Specially looking back at his smirks and the blank expressions during dori scene.

I really recommend the makers of MJHT to watch their show. and not only be 'proud' of their work, but realize what they have been actually showing.

Mitsy - Abso-frekin-lutely agree with you .... right now MJHT is all fluff no meat. It is surviving on their actors talents alone. Because the storyline is certainly going nowhere. Even today, the MN fight seemed fake and forced. I am pretty sure the confession will be awesome - just like the apology. But the circumstances that lead to that end are not convincing.

Even SG story seems to be stuck on the rut over the friendship issue. How clearly does Sheena have to spell out before Samrat can understand that she doesn't want Gunjan in his life? How can he willful misunderstand the real issue? Are we missing something here? How does Gunjan understand, but Samrat doesn't? His tactics of trying to talk to Gunjan in front of Sheena were childish. Kudos to Sanaya's acting ... you could really feel her pain. But the story needs to move on already.
