PD said it will make us Mayurians faint and what not but it was not even close to that. I mean in a way it was just a plain sorry with some filmy BS in the middle. He didn't go to any extremes really to "pacify" her.. When Nupur said "Anil Kapoor chhat se jump kiya tha tab Madhuri ne usse maaf kiya tha", I thought he might say something like "toh ab kya main bhi chhat se jump karu?" or if they would have shown this exact scene at the beach or something it would have been 10 times more impactful..

Finally we were getting something meaningful from these two and then the patch up happend. This patch up should maybe mature the friendship of these two and hopefully, the creative will not use them as comic reliefs again. I just hope now in the future they show the same intensity in Mayur relationship like they do with their other lead couple..

I would have to disagree......firstly, when PD says that a scene will make us 'faint'....I don't take it literally😆....I usually expect the opposite....LOL.....and in this case, I was very satisfied with the way the MN patch-up scene was shown.....I don't see the need for this scene to have to be shown on a beach for it to be impactful😕😕.....I don't think the location matters....how the scene is written and enacted matters more. I thought Mayank apologized to her in a very heartfelt manner.....the filmy stuff in b/w was thrown in just as a touch to show that he was willing to speak to her in HER 'language' so to say😆.....they've done it before a bit also once before the beach scene when he tries to cheer her up.....but the meat of the scene was ofcourse in his intense dialogues....the ones NOT from a movie...and those were very sweet lines, said in a very heartfelt manner....it was Mayank's genuine remorse that melted Nupur.....I didn't find it rushed in anyway....the scene had a beautiful graph.....from Nupur's initial anger and refusal to listen to him, to her sitting morosely by herself and thinking about the issue on those steps, to him coming and trying to talk to her...to using the filmy lines, her retorting sharply, about to walk off, he stops her and then says what he TRULY feels in his heart....the remorse, the fear of losing her....everything.....he did try everything he could to pacify her! And I'm OH so thankful that he didn't mouth some dumb line like, 'toh main bhi chhat se kud jaaun'.....THAT would have made it OTT.....but the scene was not made OTT, thankfully.

I really enjoyed the scene.....thought it kept the essence of MN intact....and that was amazing to watch.

The stuff before was already OTT to begin with.. atleast IMO.. I mean I would have liked the scene a lot more without the whole filmy stuff at all.. If it was a plain Mayu thing I would have enjoyed it much more. Plus, the cuts in the middle made it worse. Btw, I don't think Mayu would really say those lines.. its never been in his character to say that. As Nupur said, it seemed like it was out of a film only it wasn't... it could have been in simple Mayu style..
But you are right about the location bit and how it doesn't matter but till now I have enjoyed their beach bit the most so that's why I kinda wanted it.. 😛

The cuts in the middle are always there anyways....I've sort of gotten used to them now and just forward thru.....the editing was still better than yesterday's epi where they killed the momentum at the end of the MN scene by randomly cutting to a Sam-Benji scene.

And I don't think this was out of character for Mayank to say those lines.....I liked those dialogues....it was just a slightly more poetic way of expressing his feelings of bereftment without her in his life.....it worked for me atleast😆

^^ I can't agree more with the editing bit.. I am in the western part of the world so the episode airs for us right now and watching it the second time around I think it wasn't really the scene that got me as upset as the editing. Even yesterday with the whole intense scene they kept showing clips of Tams in the middle... And today too they could have ended with Mayur instead of the split screen which I did not get the reason of..

I agree completely Anu, with every single word! It's been a long time since I've watched a scene multiple times. I thnk the last time was the Khuda Jaane dance. Anyway, I was 100% satisfied with it. It made me go "aww" several times, and I almost jumped from my chair in excitement when she finally forgave him. It doesn't get much better than that for me.

Hmm....I'm really sorry you didn't like the patch up scene. But I actually really loved it! :D

Well first the filmy dialogue: I think it made sense for Mayank to do that. The beach scene was different as Mayank didn't know Nupur that well back then. But right now, he has spent most of his time with her hence he does know her really well. Well pretty much anyone can guess that Nupur is fulto filmy so that's what Mayank went for in order to apologize.
Since Mayank has already apologized in what I guess would be a simple "Mayank way", and that did not seem to work, it makes sense for him to try something out of the ordinary to make Nupur realize that he is indeed sorry. And it worked too because Nupur was definately taken back and appreciated his effort. If a guy would go out of his way to do that for me, I would of course forgive him....it would of course help if the guy was Mayank. 😍
And it also showed that he understood Nupur's likes in doing it the filmy way. Mayank knew that what he said to Nupur was a bit harsh so he had to go a little out of the way to apologize.
O and about the cheesiness with the "tumhare bina meri life better nahin balki khali lagti hai", I admit I thought it was really cheesy in the precap but after watching it I thought it was really needed. Remember this was the line that hurt Nupur the most when Mayank yelled at her, that his life was better without her, so he had to make her believe that it was actually the opposite. And he said in such a heartfelt, non over the top way that it was completely justifiable.
Ok....wow that got really long...sorry about that. I just loved Arjun and Rati's acting as well!! These two are amazing!!
Ok sorry about the rant once again.....can ya tell I really loved the episode? 😃
