Alternative Song for MN..check the video on Page 5 - Page 9

I wish someone would explain how this music rights thing works.....which songs are easier to acquire?? I mean we can all ask her for these non-movie songs but are they easier to get rights for or more difficult?? :S


Anyways, I'm too drained from thinking about this now and just braced for whatever they will show.....lol

No, I didnt like the Khuda Jaane sequence......I found the lyrics outright unsuitable for MN track at that time, and thats why I can never appreciate the use of that song in that phase. As for drunk Mayank, even Arjun couldnt save it for me to be even OK with that track. Dislike would be a light word to express my feeling toward that scene😆.
Yaa, PD should have given some selection or narrowed down what we suggested. Now she may come with her own selection and I dont want it to be Chand Sifarish. Lets try our best to suggest a nice song, devoid of the doubt that it may or may not work.

I go with the TUM song.......😉

@ melissa and kavya...ok so tum gets more votes? everybody can send in their pms. if i remember right she has cleared the last backlog of pms she had.

@anu...normally a new movie will not release rights to their songs because they want people to buy the CDs. also certain companies have tie ups with channels. obviously sony-bmg will make it easy for any show airing on sony to get rights for songs released by them.

most importantly independent albums are lower on sales than film music albums, so they are always happy to sell the use of their songs for a reasonable rate because it basically means renewed interest in their music.

@ anu...more info, re dhoom, the album with tum, was released by sa re ga ma, a relatively smaller music company, and it is a 2008 release...

@ Melissa : I REALLY hope that PD doesn't announce it as Chand sifarish! Its the last song I want on Mayur...it suits sajan more...

Yeah hope so. Ho Gaya hai tujhko is still embedded in my mind, but if things dont work I would really want PD to go for Tumse Hi......and now that Tum is on the list she should try for that also. But do they take music video songs??? Seriously, this complications with the type of song, the price, the copyright and then the song itself is just so annoying....

Tum se hi is perfect but PD doesn't like it and rejected it already , she probably thinks it doesn't suit MN just like she thinks Rati looks old with her hair open
