The party had just ended & there were two beautiful ladies waiting outside for their ride to come. The older lady was wearing an elegant white sari that sparkeled & let out her beauty under the moonlight. Her long diamond earrings kissed her gently on the cheeks as the wind shyly blew past her. Her necklace reflecting features of her innocent face.
"Mom."
She turned around to see who was addressing her that. Behind her was an equally beautiful girl standing with a cell phone in her hands. She brought her hair back as they came in front of her face. Her eyes were gleaming with happiness seeing her mom in front of her. Unlike her mom, she was wearing a black lengha with blue embroidery on it. The bracelet & the necklace made her look even more beautiful in the moon lit night.
"Chale?"
"Ha."
They both started walking towards their car. They sat down in the back seats & started talking about the time they had in the party, while the driver drove them home.
"I see them."
"Good. Follow them & do as you were told."
"Good. Follow them & do as you were told."
The man shook his head & drove after their car. They had just passed their last stop light to their house when suddenly the place blew up in an explosion. The car was turned over, the driver dead, & the two ladies badly injured. The same man who followed them, stopped at a distance, away from them. Inside the car, they both got up weakly & tried opening the door. When they did, they both fell out & fell down on the ground. The mother, worried about her daughter, crawled over to the other side of the car. She saw her daughter on the ground, barely breathing.
"Gunjan."
She managed to say.
"Gunjan, beti utho."
Hearing her mom's voice, she managed to open her eyes. She smiled upon seeing her mom's face. She blinked. There was someone grabbing her mom's hair & pulling her, making her go away with them. She blinked again. She could see her mom struggling against the man. She tried getting up to help, but she couldn't. She was too physically hurt to move. She blinked once more. She felt her mom's hand going away from hers. As their hands were slipping away, it felt as if it was the end of the world. Everything was slowly going away. Everything they believed in was turning out to be wrong. The rain started to pour out of nowhere, as if it understood their pain. Gunjan blinked one last time. This time, not only their hands but they parted away. Gunjan helplessly saw her mom being separated from her. Everytime she blinked, she went farther away. As she closed her eyes, all she could remember was her mother's face. The man pushed her inside the van & drove away. Gunjan saw the van take away her mother before she was completly gone away from this world.
