Chapter 8
Few rays of the sunlight fell on Ishani's face to which it made her open her eyes. Ishani saw the clock and it was 6:30. She turned to the other side where her princess was sleeping calmly. She smiled and got up from the bed, stretching her arms. She went to cupboard and picked her dress. She picked a simple blue kurta with pink leggings and dupatta. She picked her towel and headed towards bathroom to take shower. After few minutes, she came back and went to her dressing table. As usual, She left her hair down and applied kajal. She went to bed and saw Hasti which brought a smile on her face. Ishani planted a kiss on her forehead. She went to the other side of the room and made her belongings ready. Till that, Hasti woke up with a cute cry. Ishani went to Hasti and carried her in her arms.
Ishani(making a cute face) - Oh my baby! Stop crying! Mama is here. Stop crying! You know, when you cry, Mama feels very sad and even she starts crying. Do you want Mama to cry..no na..stop crying bacha!
Hasti, seeing Ishani's face, she stopped crying.
Ishani(kissing her chubby chicks) - That's like my good baby! How cute you are! I love you so much baby! Now let's get bath and get ready.
Ishani took a towel and went to bathroom along with Hasti. After few minutes they came out and Hasti looked more cute because she was covered with towel all over. Ishani picked her dress and made her ready. Hasti was ready wearing a white and blue dress. Ishani gave a smile to her and kissed her forehead. Ishani headed towards downstairs with Hasti, along with her and Hasti's belongings.
She went down to kitchen and made her coffee. She went to fridge and removed the container which had milk. She poured the milk in a bowl and placed it on the gas to heat it up. She was having her paratha and coffee. She gave a look to the gas and when she found out that the milk was perfectly heated, she poured the half into a bottle. She gave the bottle to Hasti and Ishani again started to have her breakfast.
After eating her breakfast, she kept her plate and mug in the wash basin. She checked on Hasti and saw her...
Ishani - My Hasti finished her milk. Good job baby!
Ishani filled the rest of the milk in a thermos, so that the milk would remain warm till next 12 hours. She also packed a new bottle for Hasti. Ishani removed a bottle of baby growth syrup' from the drawer and poured it little into a spoon and made her have that. After finishing that, she made sure everything was ready and she left for office.
RV Building Blocks
Ishani reached the office and found out that there was no one at the working stations. She walked to RV's cabin and swiped her card and entered his office. Ranveer was working on his laptop and the moment he saw Ishani, he got relief. Ranveer kept looking at her and Ishani also saw him. Without saying a word, Ishani entered her cabin.
As the day was becoming night, it was 7, everyone started packing their stuff and started leaving. After few minutes, everyone left except Ishani and Ranveer.
Ishai was doing her work where she realised that it was finally time to go and she started packing her stuff. She went to Hasti who was sleeping between two big pillows on the sofa. Ishani with a smile went to the sofa and sat beside Hasti. She touched Hasti's hands and felt way too hot. Ishani got tensed, she touched her cheeks and they were hot too.
Ishani - Oh my god! She is having high fever.
Ishani(trying to wake Hasti up) - Hasti...Hasti...Hasti...
Ishani got tensed and she started crying.
Ishani(to herself) - Oh my god, she is not getting up.
Ishani(crying and bit louder) - Hasti...wake up Hasti...Hasti!
Ranveer was concentrating on work but he heard Ishani shouting Hasti's name.
Ranveer - Why is Ishani shouting Hasti's name this loud. Did anything happen to Hasti! Let me go check.
Ranveer ran to Ishani's cabin door and opened it. He found out Ishani trying to wake Hasti up. He ran to Ishani...
Ranveer(worriedly) - Ishani, what happened to Hasti?
Ishani(getting up and crying) - Ranveer, look I am trying to wake Hasti up...but...but she is not waking up. Ranveer, I am scared.
Ranveer - Ishani don't worry...let's take her to hospital.
Ishani was crying so badly and she shook her head as yes. Ranveer called the guard...

Ranveer saw Ishani was crying badly.
Ranveer(worriedly) - Ishani don't worry. Kuch nahi hoga Hasti ko...chalo hospital.
Ranveer carried Hasti in his arms and felt how her skin was hot.
Ranveer - Lets go...
Ranveer and Ishani ran to the office's main door and Ranveer saw his car in front of him. Ranveer gave Hasti to Ishani and they both ran to the car and got seated. Ranveer drove to the hospital as fast as he can. After few minutes, they reached Hospital and ran in the building.
Ishani(shouting and crying) - Doctor...Doctor...my daughter...Doctor...
Ranveer (shouting) - Doctor...Doctor...
The Doctor came to them and asked what the matter was.
Ishani(crying) - Doctor...my daughter...my daughter...she is having fever and she is not waking up...I tried many times but she is not waking up...please do something doctor...please!
Ranveer(tensely) - Please doctor do something...please!
Doctor - Ok, let me...please wait here.
The nurses came and took Hasti and they carried her to intensive care' room. Ishani and Ranveer watched Hasti carried by the nurse, going to that room. Heavy tears were rolling down from Ishani's eyes as one of the nurse closed the door. Ishani cried and turned to the other side. Ranveer saw her crying and it felt like someone was pinching his heart. Ranveer went to Ishani and tried to console her.
Ranveer(in a worried voice) - Please Ishani, stop crying! Kuch nahi hoga Hasti ko...main hu na.
Ishani(crying) - Ranveer, I am a very bad mother! Because of me, today my daughter is in this condition. I am a very bad person!
Ranveer(tear fell from his eye and he kept his hand on Ishani's shoulder) - No Ishani, stop crying! You are a very nice mother. Who said that you are a bad mother...Ishani, with being a nice and kind hearted person you are also a caring and loving mother.
Ishani(facing Ranveer) - No Ranveer, I have to blame myself for Hasti's condition. I didn't take her proper care that's why she is in hospital today. I will never forgive myself for this!
Ranveer(held her shoulders) - No Ishani, esa nahi kehte. It's not your fault Ishani, so don't blame yourself for this. You are a really nice person. Hasti is very lucky that she got a caring, loving, and kind hearted person like you. Look, I'm telling you, one day she will be proud that she is your daughter and you are her mother.
Hearing this, Ishani got emotional and within a fraction, she hugged Ranveer. Ranveer got shocked that suddenly Ishani hugged him. He was struggling that should he hug her or not, then he finally hugged her too. Ishani was crying, holding Ranveer's coat, above his shirt more tightly. Ranveer closed his eyes and was caressing Ishani's hair. While Ishani was feeling like if she was hugging Ranveer who was her bestfriend before 2 years ago. A bestfriend with whom she shared everything, a bestfriend who was always there for her. For Ranveer, it was Ishani with whom he wanted to share every problem, wanted to be with her for his whole entire life, and care for her and her daughter hasti. They were still in hug until the nurse came with some paper-work in her hands.
Nurse - Um, Excuse me sir, mam.
Ranveer and Ishani coming out of hug - Yes?
Nurse(handing the paper work and a pen to Ranveer) - Sir this is the paper-work of your daughter.
Ranveer and Ishani were shocked when the nurse indicated Hasti as Ranveer's daughter.
Nurse(to Ranveer and Ishani) - This paper-work asks the basic information of your daughter so you guys have to fill in the formalities and then submit it at the reception.
Ranveer(looking at the papers) - Ok, Thankyou!
Nurse(with a smile) - No problem sir!
Ishani(with a worried voice) - Sister, how's my daughter. Is she fine? Did she gain any consciousness?
Nurse - Mam, the doctor is checking her.
Nurse left saying this and Ishani was left in tears after hearing this.
Ishani(crying heavily) - Ranveer, I am really scared. Hasti will be fine na? She is just a baby and she is...Ranveer I am really scared.
Ranveer(cupped her face) - Don't worry Ishani, she will be fine. I am there na...nothing will happen to her. I promise!
Ranveer cupping her face, wiped her tears. Ishani was just looking at him. Where Ranveer was just lost in her eyes. Ishani, on the other hand, found her bestfriend in this "RV." Suddenly Ranveer's phone broke their eyelock. When Ranveer saw his phone, it was Chirag who was calling him at 7:42. Seeing his name in the display, Ranveer gained anger but somehow calming himself down...
Ranveer(handing the paperwork to Ishani) - Ishani, please finish the paper-work, let me just attend this phone call.
Ishani(taking the paper-work from Ranveer) - Ok...
Ishani took a sit on the chairs at the sides. Ranveer went little away from her.

Ranveer can here DJ playing but he remained silent.
Nahi na, let me tell you where she is right now...She is in the hospital.
Ranveer was shell shock.

Ishani was sitting on the chair and filling in the formalities, till she saw Ranveer...
Ishani(in thoughts) - Today I saw a different. No different but old Ranveer who was my bestfriend. Who understands me when nobody did. After this 2 years, I am seeing this Ranveer after so many days...I hope I can see this Ranveer everyday. Today the way you helped me..I don't know how to Thank you.
And do you want to know why is she in the hospital...accha, let me tell you, actually yesterday night, I exchanged her syrup bottle with an old expire syrup bottle. So, according to my plan, Ishani feeded the expire syrup to Hasti and that's why she is in the hospital. So this means that my plan is successful! Woohoo! Yay! My plan is successful.
Ranveer got so angry that he he bursted out with anger..
Just Shut up you b*stard! How can you do this to your own daughter! As long as you will hurt Ishani and Hasti, I will protect them from any harm and I will always! Did you get it!

Till Ranveer can say something, Chirag hung up the call. Ranveer was so mad that he turned around and saw Ishani which somehow made himself calm down. He was slowly walking towards Ishani...
Ranveer(in thoughts) - Ishani, I wish I could take you and Hasti somewhere far away from here, far away from that Idiot.
As he went to Ishani, he sat beside Ishani who was finally done with the formalities.
Ishani(turning to Ranveer) - Ranveer, I am done with the formalities.
Ranveer(getting up) - Ok, let me go and submit this at reception.
After few minutes, Ranveer came back from the reception with one glass of water. Ranveer sat next to Ishani and offered her the glass of water...
Ranveer(offering the glass of water) - Ishani, have some water.
Ishani nodded her head as no.
Ranveer - Ishani, please have some. Please!
Ishani - No Ranveer Thankyou.
Ranveer insisted Ishani many times but Ishani got tired and had some water. Ranveer gave a glance to his watch and saw the time it was 8:18 and still both of them didn't had dinner.
Ranveer - Ishani, it's 8:18, you should have dinner.
Ishani - Nahi Ranveer, I am not hungry.
Ranveer - Look Ishani, I know you are sad. But it doesn't mean that you should not eat anything. Just eat something. Please!
Ishani nodded her head as no'
Ranveer - Ishani, atleast not for me but have something for Hasti. You need to be strong at this time. Please have something for Hasti. Look I am telling you "Please" Please Ishani!
Ishani looked at Ranveer, while Ranveer, in a second, got hold of her hand and made her stand up. He was taking her towards the cafeteria of the Hospital. Ishani was just staring at Ranveer which was completely different today with her. They were finally standing infront of the cafeteria. Ranveer took her inside the cafeteria and made her sit on the chair and he also sat infornt of her. The waiter came to take order for them.
Waiter(with a smile) - Welcome Mam! Welcome Sir! What can I get for you?
Ranveer - Ishani, please order something for you and eat.
Ishani nodded as no but Ranveer was in no mood to listen.
Ranveer - Ok then, let me order for you (to waiter) what do you have for dinner tonight?
Waiter - Sir, we have fast food like Burgers, Pizza, Fries, Pav Bhaji, Chaat and then we also have Chinese food and Punjabi food which have Paneer Butter Masala, Veg Korma, Onion Garlic Naan Kulcha, and Dal Tadka - Rice.
Ranveer - Ok, (turning towards Ishani who was still looking at him) - Ishani, what do you want to have?
Ranveer got answer as no so finally ordered Punjabi Food. After few minutes, the waiter came with one thaali and placed it in the middle of the table and exchanged smile with Ranveer and left. Ranveer slide down the thaali to Ishani. Ishani saw that...
Ishani - Ranveer...yeh..
Ranveer - Ishani, please have something.Atleast for Hasti. Please!
Ishani(in motherly voice) - Ranveer you know I am a mother and when her child didn't anything na even she cannot eat anything. My Hasti didn't eat anything for dinner and I am not gonna eat anything either.
Ranveer - Ishani, I know that you are a mother and you don't want to eat because Hasti didn't eat. But if you remained like this then you may fall sick. And Hasti needs you at this time na. Please, atleast think about Hasti. Please have it Ishani.
Ishani finally agreed and had piece of naan and sabzee. She looked at Ranveer who was looking at her while she was eating.
Ishani - Ranveer, you are not eating anything. Even you should have some.
Ranveer - No Ishani, I don't want to eat.
Ishani - Ranveer, you were telling me to eat first and now you are not eating. Please eat Ranveer!
Ranveer(with a smile) - Ok, let me.
Ranveer called the waiter and asked for a Punjabi Thaali. Waiter got him his thaali and he started eating.
While they were having their dinner, Ishani was calling Chirag many times but his phone was switched off. Ishani got really tensed and started worrying about Chirag. Ranveer saw Ishani's worried face and..
Ranveer - Ishani, what happened? You look worried. Is everything fine?
Ishani - I am really worried. I am calling Chirag continuously and his phone is switched off. I am really worried. He don't even know that Hasti is in hospital. He will worrying about me and Hasti that we haven't reached the house yet.
Ranveer(In his mind) - Ishani you are very innocent. Chirag is the only reason behind Hasti's condition. He is cheating on you and he don't even cares about you and Hasti. I wish I could tell you this things but you won't trust me. He is a liar. One day this Chirag will get thrashed by me.
After they had their dinner, they went back where Hasti was. They were sitting on chair where the Doctor came out. Ishani and Ranveer immediately stood up and they ran to him.
Ranveer - Doctor, how is Hasti? Is she fine?
Doctor - Yes Mr.Vaghela, by god's grace, your daughter is completely okay.
Ishani and Ranveer got really happy hearing this and they had big smile on their face.
Ishani - But, Doctor, what happened to my daughter?
Doctor - I think so you gave her expired medicine to which she gained unconsciousness. But your daughter is really lucky that she is completely fine now and the good thing is that she gained consciousness. You both can meet her but after that you all can get her medications from the reception.
Ishani and Ranveer(with big smile) - Ok Doctor! Thankyou Doctor!
The doctor smiled and left where Ishani saw Ranveer with a big smile and even Ranveer did. They both were so happy that they hugged each other.
Ishani(smiling, remaining in a hug) - I am so happy.
Ranveer(being in a hug, with a big smile) - Even I am really happy Ishani.
When they realised that they were hugging each other, they slowly came out and there was awkwardness in the air. They both were not able to face each other.
Ranveer - Wo...wo...let's...let's go and see Hasti.
Ishani nodded as yes. They went inside the intensive care' room with big smile where Hasti was lying on the bed.
Ishani(with big smile, running towards the bed) - Hasti...(Ishani carried Hasti in her arms and kissed her forehead) - Hasti...meri beti.
Hasti smiled as she was getting her mother's motherly love. Where she saw Ranveer smiling at her, she started smiling more. Ishani noticed that and saw behind where Ranveer was making funny faces. Hasti opened her little arms towards Ranveer by which she meant, she wants to go to Ranveer. Ishani got this and she turned around..
Ishani - Ranveer, she wants to come with you.
Ranveer with a big smile took Hasti and started playing with her. He was making funny faces to which Hasti was giggling so much. Ishani was smiling seeing Hasti this happy after coming back from America.
Ishani(in thoughts) - Today, after 2 years, this is the first time I am seeing Ranveer smiling this much.
Ranveer - Ishani, we should leave because it's already 9:30 and it's late. Let's get her medicines and leave.
Ishani(with a smile) - Ok! Let me see Hasti
Ranveer - Ok..
Ishani forwarded her hands infront of Hasti so that she can come. But Hasti was in no mood to go, she smiled and hugged Ranveer. Ishani was shock seeing this.
Ishani - Arre, she is not even coming with me.
Ranveer was smiling and caressing Hasti's back.
Ishani with a smile - Chalo koi baat nahi, lets get her medications.
Ranveer - Ok.
They walked to reception and got their medicines and went to their car.
Parking Lot...
Ranveer had to drive car so she decided to take Hasti in her lap.
Ishani(going to Ranveer) - Hasti, come to mama
Hasti, who was still hugging Ranveer, came out of hug and smiled. She looked back to Ranveer and smiled and again hugged him. Ishani was confused seeing this behaviour of Hasti.
Ishani(who was confused) - Arre, what happened to her she is not even coming with me.
Ranveer(smilingly) - Let me handle this.
Ranveer(to Hasti, in a cute tone) - Hasti, beta, go with mama. I have to drive. Go to mama.
Hasti giving a smile to Ranveer, opened her little arms to Ishani. Ishani gave an impossible look and sat in the car. Ranveer too sat besides her and they started driving off to Chirag's house. On the way, Ishani was looking at Hasti who was looking so happy and so did Ranveer. After few minutes, they finally reached Chirag's house, before Ishani got out of car...
Ishani(looking towards Ranveer) - Ranveer..
Ranveer - Hmmm..
Ishani(with a smile)- Ranveer, Thankyou!
Ranveer - Thankyou? For what?
Ishani - Today you've helped me so much. So thankyou for that.
Ranveer - Your Welcome!
Ranveer saw Hasti who was smiling towards him and showing her hands to him. Ranveer took Hasti in his arms and kissed her fair rosy cheeks...
Ranveer(talking to Hasti in a cute tone) - Bye Baby!
Hasti smiled and hugged Ranveer, resting her head on his chest. Hasti came out of his hug and she smiled and touched his beard, she smiled more. Ranveer too smile at the cuteness of Hasti. Ishani was also smiling seeing Hasti. Ranveer hugged Hasti and kissed her white chubby cheeks. Ranveer gave Hasti back Ishani with a smile and Ishani got off the car with a smile. Before she can close the door, Ranveer said something...
Ranveer - Listen, take care of Hasti and whenever you need something, do let me know.
Ishani nodded as okay' and said bye and went inside Chirag's house. Ranveer to left to RV Mansion.
Mehta House...
Ishani with a happy smile climbed stairs and went in her room. Ishani changed Hasti's clothes into her night dress and she also changed her clothes. "Chirag" said Ishani and she left Hasti in her cradle, turning on Chota Bheem' Cartoon for her. Ishani ran to Chirag's room to see if he is awake or not. Ishani was standing infront Chirag's room and was trying to open the door but it was locked. Ishani knocked the door...
Chirag heard the door knocks and knew that it was Ishani.
Chirag(to himself) - Chal beta..start acting now.
Chirag went to his door and opened the door with a scared face. Ishani's happiness vanished seeing Chirag's scared face.
Ishani(worriedly) - Chirag, What happened? You look worried. Tell me what's the problem.
Ishani took him to bed and made him seat on the bed.
Ishani(again asking him worriedly) - Chirag, tell me..what happened?
Chirag(holding Ishani's hands) - Ishani, whatif I will be not there, who will take care of you and Hasti.
Ishani(not getting what Chirag is saying) - What?! Yeh tum kya bol rahe ho?
Chirag - Ishani I mean, what if I will die, who will take care of you and Hasti.
Ishani - Just Shut Up Chirag! Don't ever say that! You are not going anywhere. You are staying with me and Hasti.
Chirag - No Ishani no! Wo Mr.Chauhan said that -
Ishani - Mr.Chauhan?! What did he say Chirag?
Chirag remained silent.
Ishani - Chirag, bolo! What did he say?
Chirag(hesitantly) - Ishani..wo..he...Ishani..wo he said...Ishani he said that he will take our house and will get us on road. Ishani he also threaten me that he will kill me but he also gave me option that he can leave us alone only after...

Chirag - Ishani, he wants you for a night.
Ishani(who is shell shocked hearing this) - Kya?!

Suddenly Chirag's phone beeped and it was Mr.Chauhan.
Chirag(showing his phone to Ishani) - Ishani, look it's him.
Chirag picked up his phone...

Chirag(looking towards Ishani) - He asked to put on the speaker and he wants to talk to you.
Chirag put his phone on speaker.

Ishani was crying and thinking alot. One side it was her respect and the other side it was her daughter and Chirag.

Before Chirag could say anything, Mr.Chauhan hung up the call. Chirag was smiling inside his heart because he was gonna get a perfect revenge from Ranveer. He saw Ishani who was crying heavily.
Chirag(keeping his hands on her shoulders) - Ishani...
Ishani didn't say a word and she got up from the bed. With tears rolling down from her eye, she ran to her room. She opened her room and went to Hasti, who sleeping calmly in her cradle. Ishani turned off her tab and carried Hasti and went to bed with tears in her eyes.
While on the other side, Ranveer was having a bright smile on his face and he went to sleep.
