Dear Mr. Raj Nayak, Miss Ekta Kapoor and the officials of Colors TV,
It is a very well established fact that your show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi is one of the most popular TV shows currently in Indian TV industry and has entertained the masses since last one year and 6 months dearly. In this journey the show saw various ups and downs and not to wonder since it was obvious. Every story has its ups and downs so has had Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi.
Not to forget in this entire while we have been the slot leader at the 10pm slot. Great, isn't it? Which show has really been able to beat MATSH for more than a year? None, for sure! Even now the show continues to being the slot leader which is an achievement in itself. If other shows on other channels at 10PM slot are not gaining high TRPs despite tremendous promotions why do you think shutting Meri Aashiqui down is a wise choice?
Coming to the choice, the show still has its essence intact which to our own suprise is an astounding thing. The show is about love, loosely based off Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, and the meaning of love has been well justified. Apart from the essence of the story you have a terrific pairing in form of Shakti Arora and Radhika Madan. These two actors have put their heart and soul in bringing this story to life. How "professional" is it to really ruin the object your profession?
We, the MATSH fans, hold absolutely no grudge against your other shows despite our rants; the only thing that bothers us is Meri Aashiqui STILL has a scope, which if utilized well, shall do wonders.
We understand it's a matter of business for all of you; even the actors are going to get another shows but aren't these TRPs mere numbers that can change any week and with any new twist?
Twist reminds me, the show has had many twists. Many pleasant and many unpleasant. The current scenario came as an unpleasant twist but the things afterwards began to improve and, trust me, the slight bit of promotions would have done wonders for the show even at this bleak stage. There are other shows that have had proper promotions despite their low ratings because you, the channel guys, want to keep them going. Why hold such a crude against MATSH only? Can you STILL give us just one satisfying reason for which you are ending our show? If there is a reason apart from your stubbornness and arrogant over-confidence that this show would not work at all anymore kindly let us know.
As far as I know, your other shows have had the low phases too but they contine to go on after these years. Why so unkind towards our show only? Give it another chance and see the wonders. You cannot deny the popularity you have been given by this particular show and actors, so why for that one thing's sake JUST ONCE give this show a chance and time. Promote it like you are promoting your other shows. We have seen promotions working wonders in the case of many things and, I swear, it shall work here too.
We, the fans, had aspired to see the married life of ISHVEER, were highly disappointed after hearing the rumors of MATSH going off-air. This show is much more than just a TV show for us. So, please don't give up on MATSH. There is so much more to explore, so many plots still to be shown. If you look at this petition, we created, in change.org (http://www.chn.ge/1P0F8F1) it has 1500 signatures already and that shows the love and passion that the fans have for MATSH and if this is not convincing enough then look at the fan following of MATSH, 1 page has over 1,10,000 Likes where there are 100 other MATSH pages and groups with several thousand followers. Why are you disappointing all of us?
At last, i will end my words saying there is still time and you can change your decision. You have ended your most popular show Comedy Nights and people are angry. So, please DON'T GIVE UP ON MATSH and PLEASE PROMOTE IT BECAUSE RIGHT NOW IT NEEDS PROMOTION TO BRING BACK IT'S LOST VIEWERS.This is a humble request from all the fans of Ranveer and Ishani
