Yes, I believe that by naming the character as Disawar Ali, veiled reference has been made to Jawahar Ali only. The story line appears to be the same wherein Baba accepts to be a disciple of the knowledgeable but vain and proud Jawahar Ali.As in Sai Satcharita, I believe here too Dilawar Ali will coerce Baba to come with him to Rahata, a neighbouring village of Shirdi. Jawahar Ali was also said to be very sharp tongued and quick to anger. Apart from the similarities, the story may not follow the same story lines as the Aacharya.

Varying the names of the characters has done earlier in the serial also. For instance: Bhagoji Shinde, Baba's dear leper devotee mentioned in the Satcharita has been named as Rani ji in the serial. Also, the name of Tatya's father was Ganpat Kote Patil. He has been christened as Appa Patil in this case. I believe the reason maybe that such minor variations offer the makers more flexibility in adding or deleting to the story lines without risking offending anyone.

Dilawar Ali's characteristics seem similar to jovhar ali

Are you sure Ranaji was bhagoji shinde ?? Bhagoji shinde is the one who served baba till the end

I don't think they changed names

For example kulkarni , baija bai , madhavrao deshpande (shama)

So maybe Dilawar is other name of jovhar Ali

Hi, umm I maybe wrong. But Appaji Patil mentioned in Sai Satcharita, was actually a different person who was actually father of Bayaji Appa Patil on whose shoulder Baba leaned while giving up his mortal coil.

Well about Ranoji, i am just speculating given that he had leprosy but was very close to Baba.

Anyway, it is just what i have been able to gather from various sources and i may very well be wrong.

Found this through Google

But couldn't get anything about dilawar

i have watched Sai movie made by Manoj Kumar, long time back.

A blind character was played by shatrughan sinha. Has that story told in the show ' mere sai ' ?

Who was Kulkarni sarkar in real life? I tried to find material to read about Sai Baba and Kulkarni Sarkar, but I didn't find any such character.

Blind character with his grandson who had come ?

Well it will happen as these guys are showing things right from the beginning without skipping anything

Laxman kulkarni

He was shyama (madhavrao's) mamaji

Later he turns Sai baba's strong devotee

Like it is shown here recently that he's suffering from a disease & how UDI cured him , all that will be continued
