Nandu vs Shivam

Agree with most of what sana21 said, so apologies if i repeat a few of the same things. Also agree that shivam had come very close to allowing Riya to marrying another man (he didnt know it was Amit at the time). And he was kind of backed into a corner and felt like he had no option to marry Riya when she very publicly refused to marry Amit and professed her love for Shivam. I remember him telling his dad that if he didnt marry her then she would be an outcast for the rest of her life. Yes he did love her, but had it not come to Riya refusing to marry Amit I dont think he would have married her. He had even told her in the restaurant that he loved her but wouldnt marry her because of his family etc. I mean shivam was fine with riya as long as she didnt think for herself after marriage. And then he turned into mummys boy after marriage too- it was strange how he regressed back into the womb after getting hitched lol

Now Nandu- he was actually fine to begin with. Yes he hasnt exactly got a face that would make you drop to your knees lol but hes not repulsive either from a purely aesthetic POV (if you didnt know his personality). What makes him so repulsive looking to many of us ladies is his behaviour and the way he has weasled his way into Preetis life. So manipulative, selfish and such a slimy way about how he has effectively trapped her. Yes she should have spoken up and refused to marry him when everything was happening, but she didnt because she is a hypocrite- apparently she truly found her voice after marriage 😆 so maybe she should actually be thanking Nandu for that. But aside from that, I didnt think there was anything wrong with Nandu crushing on Preeti at first. He even tried to help Mohit and Preeti reunite once- at which point I really felt for him and wanted him to end up with Preeti because it was just such a gallant thing to do- especially when his own heart was breaking with the unrequited love. It was selfless. But then he turned into a creepazoid soon after and used every opportunity he could to break Preeti and Mohits relationship. That by itself was creepy- but then he wanted her for himself even though he knew she hated his guts to hell and back. To me that is spineless too. If you cant get a woman by any other way than manipulation and deceit then youre not a man in my book and you dont have a backbone. You're just a sneaky little rodent trying to get your way at any cost and the easy way out. Even if you make that girl utterly miserable. I dont care how much you love another person- if they dont love or want you back- then the intensity of your love doesnt justify you forcing yourself into their life. Its just your tough luck that they dont feel the same way about you- so move on and find someone who will want you for you along with some self respect. Yes I think Preeti is incredibly up her own backside and so superficial that it makes her ugly with that permanent scowl on her face. But Nandu is no saint either, just because he ""loves"" her... which to me isnt real love. He is making her miserable and he knows it and always knew it and yet still he twisted the situation so that she ended up married to him. How is that love? Its manipulation. As for Nandu having guts to stand up for his wife... maybe I missed that? I honestly cant remember when he has stood up for Preeti when it really mattered? The only times I remember was when Mohit was threatening to ensure he ended up with her- but we all know he was standing up to Mohit because he wanted her for himself. Not out of some honourable need to protect her from psycho Mohit. If a man is a MAN and really loves a woman, he also wouldnt just stand there like a potato and wait for his mother to slap his wife infront of everyone. He would have rushed to stand in front of her and protect her and he would have opened his mouth and clearly told his parents that it had been his decision to marry her because he loved her. He wouldnt have had to wait for Riya to cajole him into speaking up. It was embarrassing, like he couldnt even stand up infront of his parents and speak confidently and protect Preeti from their insults. I know she deserved it because many of us cant stand her-but Nandu is supposed to be so madly in love with her- so where was the action to back up this love?? He is just as much of a coward as Shivam just in a different way. As for standing up for his parents lol! Why would or should he stand up for them?? The way they insulted her was truly disgusting- like yes, the circumstances were awful, but you dont just talk to another human being like that, especially someone who is now part of your family. This isnt 1902- but then maybe in some parts it really is. What if in some alternate universe this really wasnt any of Preetis fault- would we be praising Nandu for standing up for his parents? In fact he firstly should have protected his wife from them, then he should have clearly explained the situation to his parents WELL BEFORE Riya intervened and then he should have said to Preeti afterwards (when she was talking about his parents) that yes they shouldnt have spoken like that to her, but they were also hurt and angry at the situation and that she should try and understand it from their perspective as parents. Instead he just jumped down her throat- this so-called "in love" Nandu- telling her quite strictly that she can say anything she wants about him but not to insult his parents. Where the hell was he when his parents were verbally spitting on his wife- so that was acceptable then? He is just another example of the weak and emotionally frail men in this entire show. Nandu might have forsaken his parents for Preetis sake- but that was his choice to make and he shouldnt feel bad about it if he decided that was the better-feeling path for him. No one owes him anything for making that choice because no one asked him to make it- Preeti didnt even want to be in the same room as the guy let alone marry him- and he knew that full well. So he hasnt done anything heroic by forsaking his parents- hes just fulfilling his own selfish desires to be with the woman he wants.

LOL😆 so after all that- neither of them is the better husband, they are just as rubbish as each other but in different ways. They should marry each other, they would probably get on better lol
