Maybe it's because they haven't really had time to themselves to talk about it. But he has clearly told her in the past that his grandmother is insane and a dictator. But she has refused to take that into account probably thinking 'oh you silly billy Shivam, I have seen and spoken to her and she is such a sweetheart to me. She loves me! What do you know? You've only lived with her your whole life is all'. So in all fairness I think Riya is being short-sighted- she believes what she sees but EVEN though she can see how Shanti speaks to khusiya and saw her nearly slap Nimmi and has been told by Shivam how psycho daddi is - she still doesnt want to understand. But I know what you mean- Shivam really needs to sit her down and knock some bloody sense into her and explain the situation. That the woman is conniving, vicious and devious and she pits everyone against his mother making her do stuff she doesnt like to do and making up lies about her- so don't buy into it. Who's betting he WONT make it as crystal clear as that? He wont. I bet you there'll be so many more misunderstandings along the way and lots falling out between Riya and Khusiya, Shivam and Khusiya and Shivam and Riya. All because no one has a mouth to break it all down and explain it clearly. (Forget Raghav and Khusiya- he will only love her as long as she keeps her mouth shut and acts as he expects her to- his love only goes so far, so that whole relationship is a load of crap to begin with)
