yes if we remember the world's creation, it is certainly month of joy and its the beginning of a new Islamic year.

the qoutation is not mine as i read some where its from Abu Qatadah (May Allah be please with Him).

the other four months are also mention on the main page of my post, Rmadan is not amongst the sacred months but yet it has its own bright significance and this is also month of blessings. for you i can post the sacred months here again

Narrated by Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said. "(The division of time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul-Qa' da, Dhul-Hijja and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Sha ban."
(Bukhari Vol 4, Book 54 Hadeeth 419)
