i donnno how to spell his name....but i do want to discuss it
i dont really know the details, but saddam just got served the death penelty today, he was hanged. and i dont think that it was right to do that. if his death served justice to those that he tormented and killed, then so should the life of bush.
i think that taking the life of any human being is wrong.if u are trying to implement justice, then y do the same which has already been done. i agree upon the fact that saddam has done horribe thins and may be the evil person he is portrayed as in the media. but there can be more to this than is presented.
the media only shows us one truth out of 36 (i learned this in a course that i took) and what news chanels may be showing is only the "bush" percpective, what he wants us to knwo. also, i heard that saddam was not allowed an appeal. what was his appeal going to do, he would have just said the bs he wanted to. by stopping him, what was gained, an earlier death for him?
to take a life is just wrong. another sentence could have been givens sufficed, like life imprisonment. why should others who are supposed to give jusice, take the life of another. this decision, to take someone's life, should only be left to God.
bush has caused so much more mayhem in this world than saddam did while he ruled. if saddam was responsible for killing all of those people in iraq, i think that bush should be responsible for killing wayyyy more innocent civilians in the middle east.
i dont know if any of u guys agree, but i think that capital punishment is just plain wrong. we are humans, and in the act of carring out a punishment we should not cross a boundry. no mattter how hideous the crime done by the person was. we should not execute people and play the role of God.
