i donnno how to spell his name....but i do want to discuss it

i dont really know the details, but saddam just got served the death penelty today, he was hanged. and i dont think that it was right to do that. if his death served justice to those that he tormented and killed, then so should the life of bush.

i think that taking the life of any human being is wrong.if u are trying to implement justice, then y do the same which has already been done. i agree upon the fact that saddam has done horribe thins and may be the evil person he is portrayed as in the media. but there can be more to this than is presented.

the media only shows us one truth out of 36 (i learned this in a course that i took) and what news chanels may be showing is only the "bush" percpective, what he wants us to knwo. also, i heard that saddam was not allowed an appeal. what was his appeal going to do, he would have just said the bs he wanted to. by stopping him, what was gained, an earlier death for him?

to take a life is just wrong. another sentence could have been givens sufficed, like life imprisonment. why should others who are supposed to give jusice, take the life of another. this decision, to take someone's life, should only be left to God.

bush has caused so much more mayhem in this world than saddam did while he ruled. if saddam was responsible for killing all of those people in iraq, i think that bush should be responsible for killing wayyyy more innocent civilians in the middle east.

i dont know if any of u guys agree, but i think that capital punishment is just plain wrong. we are humans, and in the act of carring out a punishment we should not cross a boundry. no mattter how hideous the crime done by the person was. we should not execute people and play the role of God.

lol jessica, bush certainly needs a few wacks in the face!!!
he is a huge hupocrite, and i dont know if i dont remember too well or not, but wasnt the whole point of the war to find the terrorist incharge of 9/11 (namely osama). then how did this turn into a war against iraq if osama was supposed to be in afganistan?

In my opinion, I have mixed feelings about his death. Part of me feels he deserved it after killing and torturing many but another part of me feels his death was wrong. Bush has been killing innocents too, by keeping this war going, he also deserves to be punished. So I say Saddam should've gotten a different punishment, and not have been killed!

i kno suddam killed alot of people, but b/c bush's hypocricy so many young children, men, women, soliders (even our canadian soldiers) have died, i say that bush shud 've been hanged before suddam!

and remeber what bush said b4 he sent millitary forced to Ira q, "they have weapons of mass distruction ", and guess wat ?!!!! those weapons are yet to be found

We were talking about this same issue Thrusday night at our company dinner.

Im seriously against the "Hanged till Death" punishment, i feel that if someone as cruel as Saddam Hussein needs to be punished, punish him on life imprisonment, not "Hanged till Death"

If u hang that person, he will soo not have ny gruches of the wrong he did, but if u do "life imprisonment" he/she will definately think in the jail of what wrong he did and he will definately feel guilty!

And Bush, just don't go there!...why did Americans even re-elected him?... even though they knew that if he would come back in Office, the "war" would still be on!...issssshhhh 😡

yeah ur right, death is just the easy way out of any solution, its such a medieval thought. in today's world, we should be trying to think forward, into the future where such atrosities cannot be commited by any fellow human beings.

where saddam got instantly killed, he could have been in jail, thinking over the horrible things he did. he's lost his power and his influences, so what danger would he have been, its not like hes this superevilman that could ressurect and begin his so called mission of destroying the world with "weapons of mass destruction" right.

also, a few years in jail may have had some influence on him or it would have lead to a 'natural' death. but if he did get to thinking, he could have asked for forgivness, to all the people he terrorized and to God for all he had done.

innit tho, i agree with u all!! thats just out of order, ok i addmit he 'might' have done a few murders or whateva, but he shouldnt be hanged, whoever hanged him is just doing the same mistakes as him, so whats the point? coz they're trying 2 say that "he killed load of people and he shud be hanged!" but if u think about it, they're killing him too, so they're commiting the same mistake as him, ok maybe they neva killed as many ppl as him but they did kill someone innit?? 😡 😕

amd anywayz why is bush getting involved, he thinks that he can do anything and get involved in any other countries problems, but if u think about it, its none of his business is it?? 😡
