ahh thats tooo bad....but even my favs were out too...Brazil..it was such a stunner that they didnt reach the semis!!.......I also like argentina...and I wasnt happy with Germany - Argentina match either...though it was the best match of the WC after the final...they were really unlucky and how I wish the Coach or sumone else would let me know why Messi never came on to the field😑😑😑

I am not a great German fan..but in the last world cup..Kahn was amazing..he took them to the finals all on his own brilliance and this time the way he had been demoted that is a sad thing to happen.

The only reason for me to support the Italians was because i didnt want the French to win for obvious reasons...and it only helps that Italy had better looking players!!

πŸ˜†πŸ˜†...for starters the Aussies would be the record holders here too...and they will be playing their C team or D team in every third match..and the English wpuldnt be far behind either!!

But I dont think India would be affected much....except for the fast bowlers like Sree there isnt anyone else who might get booked.

The reason is that i was so depressed after Germany's loss i was in no mood to support either of them. But i did watch the whole match n wanted the best team to win..be it Italy or France. After the unruly behaviour of Zidane in the extra time, i just wanted Italy to win.

no not really. here in the UAE the college education system is still in its infant stages...and there is a long way tooo go for the system to come of age here.

Though there are some Indian institutions, they are not many in number and quite a number havent yet got the recognition from the Ministry of Education here. There are just 2 colleges offering the B.Pharm degree here...and the one I am doing from has a mostly Arab management but there are a number of Indians too. But the student population is also mostly Arab but there are Indians and Pakistanis too...it is a diffferent experience for me.[/quote]

oh...cool i bet its an altogether different experience for u to be admist the Arabs.

yes it is...it is amazing how you can stereotype people without meeting them coz of all the things u hear abt them and stuff like that and

then when you meet them u get to know that they are such wonderful people too. though i have a lot of friends who are Arabs it is usually the language that is a barrier between us...

In the first year we were all so surprised when they started talking abt SRK and Sallu and the Big B......BTW, SRK is the most lobved among them too!!...most of them know his movies, the song, dance steps...

there are a few girls in my year who can sing Kal Ho Naa Ho without even knowing the Hindi language.

I know how it feels...though i am a true Brazil supporter...this time i think Argentina were very good too..so i was rooting for them too....and after they lost i was soo disappointed that i didnt even feel the loss of Brazil to France for many days.

yeah, the Aussies are true Champions of the game πŸ˜†πŸ˜†...they dont like being beaten in any form of the game...Yes. the Pakistanis arent far behind esp Shoaib Akthar..he gets really wild sometimes....

Even though India have a few aggressive players they are pretty level headed. I am still very surprised with Dhoni's behaviour whether it was in the WIndies series or in Pakistan. With the game that he has u would expect him to be the fiery, hot tempered sort but he is actually so calm and composed and is actually known to be a shy person!!!

i have an email that jaya sent to me long time ago with all the famous sledges that took place in Cricket...the content is a bit too inflammable to be posted here..if u are interested just PM me ur id and i'll send it to you..it is something to be treasured for true cricket fans!!!

well i am trying to learn Arabic now...my friends say they will teach if i get them to improve their English in return!!!.

I Can read alright..coz of studying in school and besides I read the Quran too...so it is okay..but speaking the language is something else. They dont really teach u much Arabic in the private schools here.

And English is the norm here, besides with such a huge expat population, even the Arabs can speak Hindi and Urdu....my Dad has a Sudanese friend who can even speak Tamil!!!
