Ok Friends, We all have members have a personal life of our own which we don't like to disclose online. However sometimes things happen like this when online stuff becomes a part of your real life and you become a rising star.

Friends we are talking about a very special member of India-Forums who started his journey from this website, where he was a regular poster here, be it written updates, picture updates and Video updates. His Contribution to forums like Left Right Left, Special Squad, Priyanka Bassi Fan Club which he ran non stop for three consecutive years, Shakira Forum from Bindass where he almost posted everything to the forum. Such Contributions can't be described in words...

We all knew that he was very good in creative terms whether it was making siggies or making animated GIF's. he was really good at Everything he did. In 2008, He took a break and wasn't seen regularly here because the virtual world got him a new direction. A new path of creativity that could lead him to success.

After seen in a bits here and there in Bollywood Forum, he finally took off from India-Forums as he was filled with so much work. this work got him International recognition. His Animated films like Crystal Ball, Indianinjas, and some interesting animated pilots got him worldwide recognition.

In 2011, His movie Save Trees also won Green Go International Fest at Hungary. he was the only Indian to Win that Prestigious Award.

BUT 2012, this year has made Varun A Rising Star - His three animated shorts and films - The Unknown World, The Wonder Stone and Animated Geet has smashed the contests they were in and brought huge honors for the country and pride for ourselves and for INDIA-FORUMS. Friends let's all take time to congratulate this great guy who worked so hard to achieve his dreams and his determination is an inspiration for all of us. please take a sec out !

Animation Filmmaker Varun Mehta, has recently won an award for his film The Unknown World at an International Film Competition held online on The 'Buzzgoo.com' at US.

The 'Buzzgoo.com' is the website designed by top class professionals from Columbia US. The site organised a Short Film Competition in January. The Website has been meant to honour the Artists around the world on the basis of skills and talent.

'The Unknown World' is a 2D Animated Short feature raising the issue over 'Female Foeticide'. The movie is presentation of a girl child in a mother's womb who is about to arrive in the new world. But before arriving in the new world, she has already formed a new world where she is happily waiting for her call. She plays, dances and sings. She knows that after all this waiting, she would finally see the new world. But everything gets short lived when people takes the decision to 'ABORT' the child. She can see herself being killed as well as her world.The film tells about the life of a female child destroyed inside her mother's womb.

Speaking to Animationxpress.com about winning the award Varun Mehta said,"Its magical and unbelievable. When you participate, you always have a dream that you might win but you don't know how brilliant could be your competitors. So your hope gets short-lived. But once you win it, It means like a dream come true. Especially when you come to know that you are the only one participating from your country and you have so many hopes to fall back on. The feeling of winning lives up with you till the end rather than the prize and recognition. It took full one day for me to realize that I won. So I can't really express in world. It's a delightful experience."

The Unknown World has also been screened at PSA (Public service announcement)Video Contest 2011 at DBICA theatres Chennai and at Pukar Foundations for children in October 2011.

Talking about the challenges faced Varun said,"The Film was a challenge in itself. Even a 2 min Animated film can take six months and especially when you have to work on it from 'A' to 'Z'. Challenge looks like a small word. I remember how much I scrapped the project when I couldn't get the things right. The expressions and emotions should work. I thought I won't be able to complete it but once when you dream, sky should be the limit. I took the project to a new medium. The movie took six months to be completed. Since I was alone working on it, I had to think on lot of things.I kept working through out six months with different softwares and tried to make it as simple as I could. At the end the result was far from what I had expected but still satisfactory. Although I work as a team for my other professional stuff, But when coming to make films from heart, its just I and me only."

Varun Mehta has also won at International Green Go Festival at France for his 3D animated film 'Save Trees'.Currently Varun is Working on an animated short film called Survivor. It is a story about a kid who watches his village in horror every year being washed by floods. Apart from that Varun is re-launching his studio and office with a new name called 'Wiz' which
stands for Wizard.

Varun Mehta's The Wonder Stone Rises Again !

The film is about giving a message to save earth and humanity in a very different way. The film tells a story of an alien stone that arrives on earth only to be discovered by some ordinary school kids.

LA, USA. Call it destiny, hard work or sheer determination. Just after winning the prestigious award for his animated movie 'The Unknown World' two months back, Varun Mehta has striked again with his VFX laden documentary cum Action Thriller 'The Wonder Stone' at The 2012 International Summer Challenge on filmskillet.com. The Film has bagged the honours of Public Award by the website. Film Skillet is an international community of filmmakers and film enthusiasts. Their job is to bring quality Independent films from talented filmmakers around the world.

The Best part about this contest that Varun was directly invited to participate in the Contest. The Film was officially invited and uploaded by the film skillet team on July 15 2012. The Voting started from July 15 2012 and ended onto August 15 2012. The Wonder Stone dominated the competition as it was the highest Voted film from day 1. Varun said that the Success of 'The Wonder Stone' means a lot to him because it was a difficult subject to work on with so many special effects and camera work all by himself.

The film is about giving a message to save earth and humanity in a very different way. The film tells a story of an alien stone that arrives on earth only to be discovered by some ordinary school kids. Incidentally, after coming in contact with the alien stone, they inhibit superpowers that they don't know how to use. The film ends with a noble message that the alien stone wanted to give.

Inspite of ridiculed for the quality, effects and direction initially, there is no doubt that 'The Wonder Stone' has come a long way and made a niche for itself and that to win an International Honour in such a short span of time. Varun Mehta must be a One Proud Man!

Film maker Varun Mehta enlightening interview to Animation-Boss

1.What can you tell us about "The Wonderstone" movie?
The Wonder Stone is about an alien stone that comes to earth in the form of a messenger. It gets discovered by six most ordinary kids of this planet. They discover the alien stone and get superpowers from it. But as they are innocent they don t know how to use their powers. It s the destruction at the end caused by the kids makes them realize that how much man has been destroying it since ages, and it s high time that kids should realize the importance of planet and start making a move towards saving it. The kids owe to work for the wonder stone who taught them a lesson to do their bits for Earth right from childhood.

2. We always believed that a project is incomplete without challenges, What are the challenges you have faced during its production?
Yes, There were a lot of challenges, we didn't have anything..neither a proper camera, nor a good green screen, and children had to perform like adults. It was really difficult especially for a single person. Whenever I discussed my script to anyone asking for a professional advice, they all tried to manipulate my story, almost in every department. I finally decide to leave the idea because it was impossible. But then I realize, If I give up, It will be foolishness, If I have to tell a story it doesn t mean to be perfect…it doesn t mean to be astonishing, I have to believe in myself first. And From that day I started every thing from scratch, I shot the whole film, wrote the dialogues myself…directed the kids, edited the movie. People were astonished, as it was impossible for a single person to do it. But somehow I made it. I know It was beyond my expectations. But at the end I was satisfied that atleast I make a move towards telling a Good Story.

3. What is the Vision of VMP Studio?
We VMP(Varun Mehta Productions) Studio, Based in Aligarh City of India motivate the artists and animators to show their creativity side and make a mark on their own. Artists Especially Animators especially in India always hesitate to show their work because of criticism. Yes Quality is very important for the Industry and It should be top notch. But that does not mean that you should hide in your shell because of the fear of criticism. I believe if you have a good story to tell you don t need a perfect path to project it. My both films Save Trees and The Unknown World have been appreciated worldwide even they are not mindblowing in the animation department. Yet I will not deny that Quality is Important. Improving your skills further and further can take an animator a long way.

4. What are the latest projects that VMP is working on?
We are working on An animation film on The Global Warming.

5 .What is your milestone for the Future?
Well Right now, I just believe that I keep working hard and make animated films that can make my country proud. I just believe to mark my name in the Animation Field someday. That's it

6. What do you think of the current scenario in the Industry?
It has potential. India is filled with so much talents. But the Quality Pressure doesn't help the artists and animators to rise above all. We are making progress but What We need right now is the right direction and Strategy to act upon. Animation and VFX should not be confined to Kids only. It should reach all the target audiences and a proper planning is required. We should make the animated characters popular in children first so that they can bring the audience with themselves. And we release them simply like other films which is why they flop at the box office. But there is no denial that Indian Animation Industry will be huge in around few years, if we work hard towards it because there is no shortage of Talent here.

7. How could you promote the Indian animation Industry?
As an Individual, I would call all the artists around the country to come out and share their work and the best tool of Promotion is Internet. Internet has given me recognition. It gives you a lot of opportunities but sadly it s underrated in India. People don t look much besides the Social Networking Sites.

8. What is your communication to the Industry?
I have been associated with some professionals and also thankful to the Online Media that has really helped me and my movies a lot to reach more and more people. Recently I was honored at Maac Insitute of Animation and VFx Where I also had a special session with students. Mr Farhan Farooqi, the VFX head of the Studio who has also been associated with Prime Focus Studio is a dear friend and I wish his team all the best.

9. What message you want to give for the Future animators?
My Message to the Future Animators would be that they should believe in themselves and don t fear criticism. They should keep working hard and make new milestones. Because at the end it s our Animation Industry and we all have to make efforts to make it Shine like never before.

Indian Television Couple Strikes at International Video Contest. !

'GEET' a popular Indian Television show based on the love story of two characters Geet and Maan was loved by millions. Since the show had gone off air abruptly, the fans were angered and downright upset with the closure of their favourite show which was still doing well for the Channel. But the fans now have a reason to REJOICE !

An Animated promo made on the popular series has WON an International Monthly Video Contest at US on 1st of August 2012. It is made by the popular Indian Animator and Filmmaker Varun Mehta. It is the second big win for the Animator in a row after he won the prestigious award at US for this film 'The Unknown World' this May. The animated promo for Geet was made 3 years back and went viral over the internet. Later this season, it was discovered by an International Video Contest named 'Vote my Video'. The Video went on to be selected to compete with entries from all over. Animated Geet Promo was the only entry from India and was selected when it beat all the entries regarding to votes, views and comments.

We contacted with one of the fans from the show who expressed her happiness in her own way. "The makers of Geet could never understand our emotions and from what we had gone through. But we were happy that we got the opportunity to show the world that what 'GEET' really meant to us even after it went off air. This Animated Video has immortalized 'GEET' as a show.

When asked about the Voting Process the fan replied, - "The Experience wasn't less than a filmy story. Initially we had a flying start, and then we got stuck for a longer period. But it was a test for us. At the end we had a great rise in votes that showed the power of 'GEET' and its fans. Then We got touch with the Creator himself about his Spectacular Victory. Varun said – "This Victory doesn't belong to me but the fans of the show totally. Sure I created it but at the time of creation It was more fancy over the thoughts of fame.

After all these accomplishments, We can surely say that the Lead Actors of the Show Gurmeet Choudhary and Dhristi Dhami must be Very Proud!

		Varun mehta's animated promo wins international video contest Varun Mehta has done it yet again. His animated promo for Geet – an Indian Television Series has been crowned the winning Video at Vote My Video website for its july competition. Varun made this video two years back and it went viral over the internet. The fans of the show responded immensely positive to the Animated promos. The Video was selected by the site to compete for the Monthly contest of July. Initially the video got great votes and marched again with a fair margin but not soon it was taken down by the other competitors.
The votes of animated video didn't rise at a certain point and it looked like that it would finish up to either 4th or 5th place. But the beloved fans of the show marched a force to reckon and conquer the first place. A fierce battle happened to become the Winner. It seemed like Animated Geet had won the contest when it finished up with 494 votes but the viewers were disappointed when the site didn't make an official announcement and the 2nd place video kept voting for a certain period. Finally the next day, The Website claimed that they suffered a glitch and they ensured that the results would come out 'Fair'. Within an hour the results were announced and Animated Geet was crowned the winner. Varun Mehta who again won an International Contest, 2nd after the Unknown World in the same year said "he had no clue about the voting and how it performed.
