As a woman, I was rooting for Pallavi to have this amazing journey towards a second chance in life and to really find her wings. It saddens me to see what they've done to her character. She was always shown as a sensible person who was sensitive to other people's feelings. I don't know if they deliberately want to show that she's so attached to the Ds that she has yet to feel that the Raos are her first priority or at least equally important as the Ds, or if they want to show that because of the way they got married, she is taking time to really bond with the Raos, i.e. it's not organic. I'm not sure what the writers have in mind.
I was always cheering her on even in the Hyderabad schedule but now I just can't relate to her and I'm so disappointed about that. We learned bits and pieces about Raghav's past from the beginning but hers was left as a mystery. So obviously I was eagerly awaiting this. They had months to prep for it but what a mess they've made (same thing with the Mandaar character!).
Writers need to be careful not to mess so much with characters that people feel disconnected because no amount of damage control will work after a point. They are a victim of their own success because they made us so attached to these characters and their depth that these deviations have an emotional impact on the audience.
I understand that they are using her scenes with Ayi for monologues where we get a rare glimpse of her thought process. They need to maximize these moments and get crisp with the writing otherwise they will dig deeper holes, just like Pallavi said in her monologue today.
Yes. I was also viewing this as a woman's journey who got her wings and travelled from widowhood to being the lifeline of Raghav... The makers succeeded at to a certain level in getting depth to RR character which they lacked in creating for Pallavi... one cam connect with Raghav or atleast i can.. The makers gave scenes where Raghav directly apologised Pallavi but they lacked showing depth in her apology by showing nimbu pani.. she cried her heart in front of aayi but RR will not know about it until she tells him directly...these small things the cvs need to take care... The only thing I am glad is that at least the makers bothered to show RR repenting for his monsterous acts with Pallavi and no girl good or bad amd specially girl like Pallavi deserves to be played with... On a side note the only reason we feel RR repented is because we know how good is RR and how much he values Pallavi ... Nahi toh....Leave it... i might sound like a broken record but I couldn't connect Pallavi's attachment for rest of D fam except for aayi and kaka...
