Online Trp /Hotstar Views

I think majority of the views of the show are youth , so many of the views will be watching from hotstar only , I think its old time everyone would watch a show on TV , today people have work and other things and prefer to watch shows when they are free , So many will be watching from hotstar

So my doubt is do they consider the rating and plays from Hotstar?

Yes someone please tell international viewers how they can help! The link says that you should put your VPN to India and watch the show on hotstar... but will they use these to calculate the TRP’s or is this all bekaar?

Yes someone please tell! I love the show and I watch it on Hotstar and I don’t know how to contribute to TRP

Sure, they have star plus uk rating and all but those don't count when they decide on a shows fate.

For trps they consider tv trps only to keep d show on air on tv . Heard tv makes more profits than ott .

I dont think online trps or hotstar views matter .

But maybe .....just maybe.....if it was dt popular on hotstar.....then there is a chance show survives on OTT after being axed on TV. Some shows have had dt fate.

No offense to fans of other shows who are also present here, but I fail to understand how shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, & Yeh Hai Chahatein are winning the TRP game while MHRW isn't?! Are viewers truly enjoying Naira and Kartik's 50th chance at love and marriage more than Raghav and Pallavi's 1st chance?! 😳

I heard that SP does take into account online trps. Earlier online was just a fraction of people but lately online revenue has exploded for the channels. The trps of online views is also counted in the raw trps of the show. That is why you have online trp come out every week - one day before the TV trps.

This info is from a friend who used to work for regional Telugu channel ETV during 2018 time frame.

I guess aunties enjoy seeing the lead characters suffer , reunite and then separate and unite again. This is like an adrenaline rush for them in their boring life. They enjoy this game of virtual hide and seek. Whereas , MHRW is all realistic portrayal of married life where there is no OTT drama, vamp sas, evil nanad, tharki devar etc. So it is expected TRP aunties will ignore the show.
