Bold - I hope he speaks about this because I know he is a sensitive man, progressive and he is very vocal about his feelings and thoughts which is a really good departure from other brooding males on TV. However, it is also partly Pallavi's nature that prevents others from speaking about her trauma. She masks it all so well and she ends up making her life about everyone else other than herself. For example, I wanted her to be upset and angry with Raghav for tarnishing her character because as a woman, at least from my perspective, I'd probably never let it slide. And not just to make him feel guilty but because it's just plain painful. But she is upset because he broke her family. She is not even slightly hurt about her pride? I expected her to give him an earful about hurting her pride, but she just never speaks about her personal pain. But that's Pallu. All about family....sanki family.
One of the reasons I fell in love with Raghav's character is that he is very sincere and pure when it comes to feeling and expressing his emotions. No contamination there and no toxic masculinity crap preventing him from expressing himself. He will begin to realize how much Pallavi suppresses her emotions or deprioritizes herself over others. Case in point, he never once suspected she'd be a widow or that she'd grown up as an orphan because of the way she conducts herself. That's what MLs are typically like on ITV. It's yet again a deliberate decision by writers to have this role reversal. Behind all the madness, there is some very intelligent writing on the show.
He has already will not just teach her to stand up or herself but to also realize that she has the right to feel happy for her own sake, without thinking about all the world's problems. She also needs to realize that while it's fine to help others, excessive sympathy for undeserving people, especially those who are mean to you, is only going to hurt you later on, e.g. the abortion fiasco.
And this is why he's the best person for her. Ayi noticed that too, because he will fight for her happiness and her rights, even if she doesn't. She's good for Raghav because through interacting with her, he's learning to open his eyes to other people and focus on their needs and challenges too, not just his own.
