Update for Wednesday, Dec 30, 2009: Update By Eljay

Maniac is all smiles, talking to Athai about how he will do anything for Megala's family. Athai talks about how she doesn't want anything for herself, but her thambi Kalai can be cured in "foreign" and she will make sure that Anbu and Megala get married in the next muhurtham itself. Anbu looks thoughtful - is he regretting having told Samy that he will agree to marry Subha, and then he looks up and - grins, showing all his teeth - paravaillai, oru toothpaste adkku use pannalaam! - agrees to look into the matter of finding about the treatment in "foreign" for Kalai. Athai is thrilled to pieces, and says she will start on the Megala - Anbu marriage business immediately. She leaves, and Anbu is still grinning from ear to ear.

Samy asks Anbu what the plan is, and he says he will look into the treatment. Samy reminds him that if Kalai gets his memory back, the two of them - Anbu and himself - can count on some jail time, but Anbu tells him that he said he would look into the matter, he didn't promise to get him cured. Samy tells him again that if Kalai is cured, it is jail vaasam for both of them, but Anbu says that he will first make a strong impression on Megala. He doesn't seem concerned.

Balu and his wife, Meenakshi - wife sees that he is sitting with the newspaper and runs into the bedroom, leaving the door open, and looks under the bed. She draws out a bag, and takes out several rupee notes from inside the bag. Keerthana comes into the room, stands behind her and calls "Athai". Meenakshi promptly gets up and closes the door - ithanai neram adhu theriyalaiya?- and Keerthana asks her what she is doing. She says that she has been saving the money for a long time, a little at a time. It is for her older son, so that he will have something to live on, after she is no more, since she knows her husband and Karuna are not going to help him, so Keerthana asks her how much she has collected so far. She says about 2 lakhs, and Keerthana says that this amount is not sufficient for him as he could blow it all in one month itself. Meenakshi realizes that this is correct, and Keerthana says that they have to think of a better method to make sure he has enough to live on. She thinks for a while and then asks Meenakshi to lend her some money. Meenakshi tells her to take as much as she wants, and offers her all the money. Keerthana takes just a few bills, and then asks her how she could offer the entire amount without even asking her why she wanted to borrow some money. Meenakshi says that Keerthana is like her daughter so why would she ask her that question. She offers to accompany Keerthana but K says that she needs to go alone. Then M tells Keerthana to put the money in a bag and take it in a basket, so she can tell Balu she is going to the temple. Keerthana goes out of the room, tells Balu that she is going to the temple, so he tells her to take Meenakshi along, but K quickly says that she already asked M, but M didn't see the need to go to the temple when her god, B, was in the house. Balu is thrilled to hear it, and says Bye to her and tells his wife to go inside "POdi". Then he informs the audience that it is no easy task to maychufy these women!

Kavitha (the actress has been replaced since I last saw her!) calls out to Mama to eat breakfast. Kalai comes and sits down and then she calls her father, but he is reading the paper and says he will eat later. Kalai praises the chutney, asks who make it, K says she did, and Kalai tells her another way to make it. Her dad and mom are listening to this exchange, and her dad talks of how people should know how to behave when they are staying in other people's homes and mind their own business. Kalai hears this, washes his hands and gets up and leaves. Kavitha asks him to finish eating but he says he needs to go home, since they will be wondering where he is, and leaves. After he leaves, Pounu (she too has changed, and the new Pounu is none other than Bhagyam from TMS!) and Kavitha get angry with her dad for behaving like that with Kalai. He tells them that he did that because Kalai has just started living peacefully with his wife and family, but Vadivu is trying to split the family and keep him away from them. He wants Kalai to go back to his family and this was the only way he could do this, so he will explain it to Kalai some day in the future. Both his wife and daughter are very pleased when they hear this.

This was actually a nice episode, and I don't mind updating when it is like this, I just hate it when Balu is abusive to his wife or Sakthi screams at that spineless Diwa.

Thursday Update -- Priya varen......hopefully new year eve special program vandhu megala illama irundha nalla irrukkum :)

Scene starts with Kirtana visiting Shankar (Karuna's brother). Kirtana goes in and Shankar's FIL is coming out with his grand son and verifying about Kirtana.. and then he says about his daughter passed away and his wonderful SIL is in full bhodai always... saying this he walks out wiht his grand son ... Shankar comes out and asks why Kirtana has come...
Kirtana starts blasting out Shankar saying why are you like this killing others by drinking day & night.. and also she says how her athai is troubling herself to save some money for shankar... then she asks the auto driver to bring in the boxes.. 2 boxes full of liquor bottle... Shankar was kind of shocked and asks what's all these... then kirtana continues saying you don't worry about anything nad keep drinking.. if it gets over you tell me and I will buy it myself and give it to you... Shankar is kind of disturbed and keeps listening to Kirtana.. Kirtana continues saying that shankar is thinking about his wife and just drinking but actualy his mom is the one who is dying every single day thinking about her son...
saying that she just goes in the auto back... Shankar is kind of thoughtful and just sits back...

Break
Diwa's house.. Diwa walks down without any action/reaction in his face... Durga calls him and says that some medicine is over for sada and asks him to go and get it... Diwa just goes out without answering anything...
Durga starts her polambal saying her son is not at all talking etc.. and sada starts his advice saying that we should not be in the path of their sons life.. Durga starts saying that why are you complaining me back and Sada gives his piece of mind saying we should not interfere in their life.. we can live happily only if Diwa and sakthi lives happily... Durga keeps thinking...
