Is BramhaDev being an obstacle for Vaishnavi?

Looking over the episodes ever since her pariksha started, I feel like BramhaDev is being hard on Vaishnavi without need. I understand people have misused powers given to them by the Gods, so the need for the pariksha. However, in yesterday's episode, where Vaishnavi was being shown the fire scene with her family, I felt like that was done on purpose to distract her and when it worked, she was not allowed a repetition of the question because BramhaDev refused it. Even when she passed her first test and wanted a boon to protect her family, BramhaDev didn't allow it and before she could ask her boon from VishnuBhagwan, BramhaDev said she could not ask for anything in relation to her family. To me that seems unfair because the whole reason this pariksha started was so that she could protect her family and rid it of the evils.

Can anyone help me understand: Is there a reason that I'm not getting why BrahmaDev does all these things? are BramhaDev's actions supposed to help Vaishnavi in the future?

I agree with you that Brahmadev is making this difficult for Vaishnavi - he knows that she is too smart and will pass all the tests - but I think he feels that Vaishnavi as a regular human being should not have the knowledge that MR affords her.
