I cant understand what these ppl think and how they plan before starting a show in india
specially if the concept is not original and is taken from any international show...
before bringing it to india they must have kept indian culture in mind
in india we respect food and consider it as a gift of god

how could they criticize food to badly because it doesnt taste good enough to there so called standards

secondly how could they insult and humiliate people who prepared food for them with love and hope

if akshay kumar has worked in a food stall years ago how did he became a food expert only because he is a super star .rest two are from professional world so thats ok but akshay????

if participants have to be so perfect in the first level then what will they do in next level will they have to be over perfect .

how could only three people decide that food is testy or not if differs person to person

a chef has to prepare same quality food for hundreds of ppl every day how will they test this skill

how could they compare all dishes means sweets, veg ,nonveg breads at the same level they all are different,...

finally its cooking yaar its about love passion festivity and care how could they turn it in a stupid war ..

😕
do you guys have any answers.....??????

just caught up on the show, I totally agree. I consider myself a good cook and wonder what it means to be insulted like this. Totally unacceptable. I have watched american version of this show like hell's kitchen and I find there the emphasis is more on food/cooking,here it seems more on personal lives, emotions and akshay. MY last words concentrate on the food , looks more like a TRP game

Agree with you on the fact that critisism of food which is the gift of god is not ethical. good point here.
the above underlined, i think akshay has proved him self as a good chef in the second epi maha challenge, with the professioalism that he used in making the dish.
the way he was cutting you can see that he hasn't lost his professionalism from his chef days.
he was actually a chef before in thailand. he still cooks when he wants to.
With akshay, he will not get in to something if he didn't feel he was perfect for it, be it stunts or anything else.
in his interviews he's always mentioned that he is a perfectionist. He would not ruin his reputation by going into something that he will not be able to do.
i think he is rather impressive. he want's to bring the best out in people, whether they are contestants, himself, general public or his co- stars.
i hope you will watch the show and enjoy it and we will meet on this forum. xx

I don't feel that these chefs are doing anything that the other judges in other shows don't do.

I agree with you, when in Indian Idol... Anu Malik scolds the contestants... Everyone says he's correct. I guess this is similar to other reality shows... Cooking like every other art is a skill and has its own rules.. We all might consider ourselves to be great cooks personally...but our story is similar to the story of a frog in the pond. And seriously, let me ask u all...How many times have we ourselves not criticized food when we don't like it? How many times have we decided not to go to a particular food joint bcoz their food wasn't good? Aren't we doing the same that these chefs are doing now, but on a milder scale? This was my opinion...No hard feelings please...😃

i agree 2.in masterchief australia-emphasis is on cooking-different types-all cuisines-and also learning-while here they say we are not here 2 teach!!!!! so why waste common man's time -call only chefs of india and make them compete-i feel this show is a total time waste-wud rather watch mc australia-learnt so many things from that show!!!!

@carisma2

i accept what ever you said about akshay its true that he has all of these qualities thats what made him a super star

but what i said is that with all qualities he still seems misfit on the show as a judge ,when he comes to KKK hi rocks because that suits him,or may be in an acting competition this attitude is acceptable

i might have liked him as a host on the show in which he should helped contestants to get there best out of them
by this he starts belonging to public side and that is the real power of a star but now he is going against them this is the main problem.............
