Here's a new angle to the same 'old' story. The actors of Mamta have refused to go in for a 20-year leap

Taking a cue from other shows currently on air, the creative team of Mamta too had decided to go in for a 20-year leap. But there was a little kahani mein twist when the lead actors of the show, Neha Mehta aka Mamta, Preeti Puri aka Tanisha, Anand Suryavanshi aka Akshay, refused in unison to play elderly characters.

Says Neha, "I am certainly not going to be a part of the generation leap. I don't think I can look like a 50-year old mother. It is too early in my career to play a mother and I find it really funny when the mother and the son look the same age."

Neha adds, "When actors are forced to play elderly characters while they are still so young, they end up obliging half-heartedly."

Preeti Puri loves the negative shades of her character in the serial, but has decided to quit the show since she doesn't want to play an older character. Says Preeti, "I will not continue with the show post-leap. It has been two-and-a-half years since I joined television and I don't want to play a mother so soon."

Anand Suryavanshi is utterly confused and is ready to play the waiting game till the production team gives him a brief about the leap. "I haven't made up my mind yet and I am in a complete dilemma. As of now I am not too keen on playing an aged father but I haven't taken a final decision yet," says Anand.

Meanwhile, the creative team is already in talks with its actors and is also deciding upon their look and character changes in the show. Says creative head, Vandana Oberoi Sharma, "We have started working on the storyline. The decisions of the actors are still on hold as they are slightly apprehensive about the changes in their characters. But we plan to sort things out soon. We will not make them look very much older, but there will have to be some changes made in their looks."

and if Andy and preeti arent there.. then bye bye mamta...
They both are like the only two actors I enjoy..
NEha and Ajay are doing well too.. but serisouly...
Mamta team, joh bhi karo, soch samaj ke karo...
and who on earth is vandana sharma.. when did the creative team change??
gosh, one day im away from mumbai and mamta team goes crazy.... 🤣 [=))}

OMG!!! Please change the decision. The leap will never go well with the audience.. This will mean bye bye to Krishu... 😭😭Seeing the reactions of Preeti, Anand and Neha, i do feel they might not even oblige to be part of the serail post leap.. If this is the case, then its better that you end the serial convincingly ,leap is just not what the doctors(viewers in this case) ordered... 😆😆

BTW, where is Ajay Krish? What were his comments on the leap? 😳

funny, ajay has not said anything about this leap. he's usually voices his opinions openly, or should i say bluntly..😆😆 wonder what happened? does it mean he is agreeing to it?😉

pls take a 100yr leap instead of 20yr so that we don't hv to see any more of 'mamta'......pls 🤢 😡

so things r getting finalised....it's all over now...so time to say bye bye to 'mamta'....I'am thinking to say bye bye to IF also..... 😭 ..no point in staying here... 😕 😭

I don't know how they r going to take the show ahead without the 3 main original lead..Anand,Neha & Preeti.. 😕 ....and what about Ajay & Muskaan??I don't think Muskaan will be there post leap...but it seems Ajay has no prblm...I can't imagine Ajay as an elderly man..will be funny.......... 😕 😆 ...

One more thing,Preeti said "playing a mother" 😕 ...how come?how will she become a mother?..I mean Tanisha.. 😕 😕 😆...

I'am not getting anything...this serial has given a lot of pain nothing else...I can not take more...I want to say bye bye...but before that would like to see czar online for one more time 😳 😭

Chalo, one thing is sure.. Anju, you have lost it completely now... 😆If Andy is NOT in Mamta, then I am not there... 😆
