@Arshics my take on Maya's U-turn is because of what Dadi told. That Rudra got his father because of her. In some way she felt compensated for the loss that has happened through her.

Now coming to Maya's problem. She tells yesterday that she has taken a sankalp or you say some kind of vrath that she will do seva of people till Mahasivarathri. Maybe that is her way of doing penance for what she feels she is guilty of.

And I believe when you take any vrath your concentration needs to be on that and that alone. That's why for Sabarimala pilgrimage 41 days of vrath is kept which needs to taken strictly. Again KC. Though many call it regressive I have always put it as a choice of a person. It should not be enforced. But if someone wants to do it earnestly let them do it. Again Ramzan fast. All this are examples of some kind of penance which needs to be done by body and mind fully involved in it. It is kind of samarpan to the cause without expecting any benefits.

Now when emotions comes to play in this samarpan, the samarpan goes , concentration goes and the samarpan becomes incomplete. Neither Dadi or Rudra should have gone to Maya. Dadi if she had really understood Maya should have told Rudra to stay away from her and allow her to do her sankalp. But this lady just gave word of mouth approval for sankalp and allowed Rudra to meet her.

This is not going to be good neither for Rudra , nor for Maya. Destiny will intervene

Yesterday there was a shloka from Hitopadesha(Shivanand). Pronounciation made it hard to decipher.

Just as a chariot cannot move on one wheel, destiny cant be reached without purusha prayatna(effort).

I think punnu was always hanuman to ram Rudra. From the moment they met

But the weeping reunion was reminiscent of Bharat milap

There have been lots of discussions that Dadi wants Maya in Rudras life so as to keep him away from shiva.

But last night actually gave an insight into Dadi's thinking

It's the feeling that man go to war and women are left to pick up the pieces

And she thinks like a home maker, where home and hearth are sacrosanct and women have worked for ages to preserve them.

I actually like Dadi and so the Dadi Maya convo was nice for me, and the dialogues were awesome

Maine Rudra to chuna - aye haye, kya baat hai...

This also explains why Dadi thinks Maya and Rudra have a karma ka bandhan

Is it because deep down she knows that sooner or later son will follow the father and war is inevitable

and she needs to hold on to 'EK boond of amrit' so that from the ashes of what is destroyed, the srijan of the new generation can be created

I will again connect it to another term - ' Saraswati kund ke neeche paani ke jeevansh hain-

It is to preserve those jeevansh of her family she wants her pota to get married, maybe...

Shruti, I fully agree with you, I Infact liked that Maya is wanting to complete her sankalpa

She started something and she must finish it. Love is to give you courage to fly, not a bondage to stifle you.

But I never understood her refusal to recognize Rudra or to tell Rudra where punnu is.

Which is why I didn't like her turnaround

As I understood she and Rudra only bid adieu, not goodbye. She wanted to complete her penance and he agreed to respect her decision and wait for her.

So this anger against Rudra and punnu was not clear to me.

Whether the sankalp is a penance or a vrat or a tap, or a job to finish, a study course to finish, the determination and will to complete a commitment made to self despite all temptations is always laudable

For a bhagoda is not just one who runs away from trouble, it's also one who runs into temptation.

And true Bhakti and devotion are never regressive - meaningless rituals make them so!

You are right. How did I forget that 'ek amrit ki boond' line. Dadi is in a hurry. That's why she took that proposal with Shagun ke kangan right away. She knows the karmic connection and didn't see the need to check on Maya.

Rudra tho ekdum lattoo ho gaya hai. But this might clear his mind too. He really looked like a person in love today.

Santhi, that's another beauty of this show.

All words like amrit, amartva, are being taken literally by the warriors - shiva army and dalvesh army

And they are being taken metaphorically by peacekeepers - dadi and Gang - so there is also a war being fought here

I thing Rudra will bridge the gap between the two - the Rakshak who will want to protect the parivar as much as the sansaar !

I think Rudra will be asked to choose and focus. And the others help him with the family. I would like Shivanand to be the one secretly guarding the family for him. Especially Maya.
