No. He was sulking because he thought Karna had more right to the throne than him. Eventually, Bheeshma said kaneena sons didn't have the right. Vyasa advised to donate to the poor to get absolution. Yudhishtira was happy after that 😆.

Panchali called him a lunatic because of the constant trouble he caused her and the rest of his family, not because he was in depression which he wasn't. IIRC, she actually said he should've been locked up long ago which puts paid to the idea she was talking about his most recent sulking.

They are two very different things.

For the same reason as Panchali. The younger Pandavas wouldn't let him be sidelined.

I don't think one should use terms like "mentally unstable" or "depression" so causally .

Rohit gotta read the text. Yudhishtira went to Bheeshma expressly to ask if Karna could've inherited. Only when told no does Yudhishtira start breathing normally.
