Your version actually seems more logical than Krishna saving Draupadi at the same time as fighting Shalva!
This part is simply horrible! It went so smooth and I really liked the pace, and the way you described Kanha's sheer helplessness and then the miracle!

Thank you. I stretched it a bit, but it is never explicitly said he was fighting Salva when the game was going on... it was hard to write, but glad to know it was worth the effort. 😳

I always dislike this part where Draupadi loses faith on Kanha. abut thanks to him, she understands very soon. Also, the human side of Krishna is very imminent in these parts after which he again approaches divine as we approach the war!

Agree with Proteeti. I too dislike the parts where Draupadi loses faith on Krishna and blames God. But this is very natural too. She here represents the ordinary people who first blame God for any kind of mishap in their lives.
I loved the way you have expressed His grief and anger! Love for His devotees had made Him so angry! Bhakta-vatsal that He is No wonder that He has a Name 'Pandav-Sakha' 😊

Draupadi was very harsh, but she had also suffered a lot. And yes, Krishna is most human in these parts.
