Karna says he put a lot of effort into obtaining his knowledge, but Krishna reminds him that it was all for selfish reasons.
Krishna tells Karna that a person who knows the worth of priceless knowledge becomes the best automatically, but the person who obtains knowledge in order to obtain something else, is stuck in the endless cycle of competing with others, but can never be the best.
Karna asks Krishna how could he not have competed, when society never respected his power and didn't accept his dreams, while always calling him Suta.
Krishna agrees that dividing people due to caste is wrong, and denying someone their rights due to caste is also wrong.
Karna demands to know what his fault was.
Krishna tells Karna that there was once a time when Kartiveerya Arjun, a King from the past, killed Parshuram's father Rishi Jamandagni. Parshuram meditated upon his grief and decided to accept the grief of society instead. He decided to cleanse the Kshatriya clan of adharm to help society, not just for revenge.
Krishna tells Karna that he too could have made his misery his inspiration and helped society. Instead you decided to surrender your life to adharma like Duryodhan.
Krishna tells Karna that he played a part in Draupadi's disrobing and he killed two of his brother's children, and is now fated to stand there and be killed by his younger brother.
Karna agrees with Krishna, but says he cannot forget Duryodhan's help to him.
Krishna ridicules their friendship by asking whether Duryodhan gave rights to the Sutas in his kingdom?
Krishna tells Karna that Duryodhan only became his friend for selfish reasons, and for his competition with Arjun.
Krishna says that if you were truly friends then you could have helped society through Duryodhan.
Karna tells Krishna that he has always distributed wealth and objects to the poor and not kept anything. Krishna reminds him that charity is profitable only to the giver not the receiver. Krishna tells Karna that the person who lives to serve the community, helps themselves by helping others.
But the person who lives only for himself is a danger to himself as well as the community. Krishna tells Karna that 3 people are responsible for this war, Bhishma, Drona and Karna, and if they had let go of their personal dharma and not helped Duryodhan then the war wouldn't have happened.
Karna agrees with Krishna and passes on his apologies to Kunti and Draupadi. Krishna tells him to accept his death. Karna is upset at him not being able to prove his worth as a warrior, but Krishna says it does not need to be proved as he is having to be killed unarmed, on the ground with a broken chariot and without his knowledge, at this time they are about to kill him, this is the evidence of your capability.
Krishna hugs Karna and Karna smiles. Krishna gets back on the chariot and time starts again. Krishna tells Arjun to kill Karna.
Karna tells Arjun that he will try to get his wheel unstuck, but tells Arjun to kill him before the sun sets. 😵 He goes off to free his chariot wheel and Krishna tells Arjun to free Karna from his sins.
Arjun invokes the Anjaliastra and shoots it, it hits Karna in the neck and makes him fall to the ground, fatally wounded.
In the campsite, Kunti sees a lotus flower burn and gets shocked. The drums give out the message that Karna is dead. Duryodhan cries out for his friend, but Shakuni is annoyed that Karna cheated them out of victory.
Nakul tells Yushishtira that the man who killed Abhimanyu is dead. Sahadev says he has reached death's doors and Bhima says that the wretch who called pure Panchaali a wh**e is dead.
Precap: Karna is dying with his head on Kunti's lap. The Pandavas ask her about her secret, if Karna is her son or not.
