Bhishma's insult by Duryodhan was the cause for his rage & decision to wage war in a more gruesome manner on the Pandavas..felt sorry for Bhishma today though..

The Madhav - Panchali convo was hart warming as always! The way Madhav hints Draupadi about what to expect next & to deal with it in terms of putting on a strong face & brave heart, taking even death in one's stride is touching..

Between yesterday and today's episode, I'm pretty disappointed with what I saw:

1) Yuddhi can't defeat Pitamah. This isn't because Mahamahim is too badass for Yuddhi, but Yuddhi was holding back ... and then he tells Bhim that his (Yuddhi's) life isn't important and to kill Dury. Really ... this clown is going to be the next king ... we're fighting a war so that dharmaraj can be reinstated and clearly Yuddhi is more dharmic than Bhim who has vowed to drink the blood of Dushashana (I get that in war Yuddhi's death = Bhim as the heir, but Yuddhi volunteering to die so the war ends is extremely stupid). And StarArjun declares that it's because mahamahim has a wishful death ... but wait the old geezer wanted the StarPandavas to kill him ..

2) Bhim is taken down by a stupid chariot wheel. So let me get this straight -- the guy who as a baby smashed a boulder, the guy who survived consuming poison, the guy who has the strength of 10000 elephants, the guy who was the most effected by Panchaali's insults, the guy who was one of the most skilled mace fighters in the world was taken down by a chariot wheel made of wood (or so I assume). Well ... what do you know ... I guess Bhim should have been training with a wooden mace instead of a metal mace because it seems wood can do more damage than metal. But that's not the only thing that bothered me. It was the way he regained his consciousness. Typical Bollywood crap.

Hero is taken down by villain, blood streaming all over the place. Heroine sees him and wipes her tears and screams at Hero to rise and avenge her insult (or anyone else's insult). Hero is silent. Crowd starts to cheer. Hero is silent. Heroine screams even louder and goes crazy. Hero breathes. Crowd goes silent. Hero twitches. Crowd is silent. Hero suddenly gets up and has super strength and magically takes down the villain in a few moves.

As you can guess: Hero = Bhim; Villain = Dury, Heroine & Crowd = Nakul & Sahadev respectfully.

(side question - what was Drupad's role in all this, didn't bother to watch Thurs. epi)

3) Pitamah ... what a confused person. But not as confused as his confused grandchildren ... StarPandavas ... I get they care for him, but they still look at him as their grandsire and not the enemy's commander in chief. Which isn't the problem -- the problem is that they will have a change of heart and want to kill him when pitamah himself wants to kill them. Which leaves me confused because I'm curious to understand why they see Pitamah who is restraining himself vs. Pitamah who intends to kill them as so different. Surely it would be an honor for the StarPandavas to die by the hands of their beloved grandsire right?

Also, showing Dury as extremely evil is starting to get on my nerves. His arrogance, his pride, his ego and his voice are just beginning to give me a headache. And his laugh is the worst part.

All in all, a part of me declared the StarPandavas as pansies and I think i'm going to go neutral like Dou. Maybe they will act like warriors and not little boys/girls soon.

Its not about how ruthless Bhishma was, yes, Bhishma was ruthless and an un-matched warrior but that doesn't mean Arjuna was any less, the reason why Krishna rushed to kill Bhishma was for the sake of Arjuna, the latter was still thinking his enemy as his Pitamaha and not using his full power.

About what StarBharata will show - Well, they have been surprising us many a times, even Vyas would have been surprise quite a few times.
